FedEx asks Washington Redskins to change team name
« on: July 03, 2020, 01:33:54 am »
Quote
The Washington Redskins have existed since 1933 -- that may be all coming to an end in 2020.
FedEx Corporation, which bought naming rights to the home of the Redskins, FedEx Field, put out a statement saying that it is requesting a name change. A group of investment firms asked companies like Nike and Pepsi on Wednesday to refuse to do business with the team until a name change happens.

How about the "Washington Bureaucrats"?

The "Deep Staters"?
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

My $$$ says that they will indeed change their name this season.

Otherwise, they'll have to fully vet the social media and backgrounds of all their game umpires and referees, for they will be royally screwed.

When they changed the name of the Washington Bullets, I stopped following professional basketball.  I've been a die-hard Redskin fan since 1971.  But changing the name will end that.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

True story: FedEx owned a football team once.

The Memphis Mad Dogs lasted a single season in the CFL and were never profitable or popular.

But please, tell us how to manage a professional football team. /sarc

Throughout this onslaught of SJW madness, my middle finger remains high and straight in defiance!!!!!
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.
