You're kidding, right?   This... coming from you... an avid Trump supporter?  What unifies us is the assaults on us, the US Constitution and America as founded by the radical left.  Why more people than ever will be voting Trump this November.   (sheesh)

I understand. But, there’s evidence that large numbers of Americans are against all you cited as points of unity. Too many for my comfort. I guess today is one of my down days.

Please... don't insult female dogs like that (mine is named Kissy, cute, sweet little Maltipoo).   Just call them Witches with a "B".

What is it with women and them little yappy punting dogs?

Why ain't it ever a Malamute, Doberman, or German Shepherd?
I swear, my sis and my mother both got to an age, and suddenly there's chihuahuas all over the dang place...

My wife and I have always been partial to English Bullies....

Problem we are having now, is trying to lift and load our old 12 year old 90 lb. Bully into the Truck with my 63 year old back.

At our age, we have decided that the next pup is going to be a Frenchy......  Much more portable.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Chewy is getting on in years, and it's a problem... He's to fat and gimped up to get on the bed or a picnic table or whatnot, and I am too fat and gimped up to get on the ground.

He's a cowdog - A mini Ozzie Shepherd - a touch bigger than a Blue Heeler, but in that class...
But the thing wit Ozzies, when they get older, the feathers on their legs start growing out of their feet... Seriously, the dog will have 4" of hair growing out of between his pads... Can't hardly stand up without some kind of friction... Even on carpet.

And he hates me messin with em. So it's a tussle. I got one of em done today, with three to go... It is a bother...

And a regret - He's my first small dog ever, as I was too gimped up to take on another Malamute that needs a 5 mile run in the morning just to shake his giggle out... But a big dog, I wouldn't be having this problem. I will probably get a German Shepherd next time... crossed with enough Malamute to matter... But more Shepherd than Malamute, and no wolf... I just can't keep up.

What evidence?  Polls?  CNN?  Other leftie media, including Fox?  lololol

Don't buy into the BS.  The silent majority is us... and we are more ticked off than ever.  Barring some disaster, natural or 'otherwise', we will crawl over broken glass to vote Trump/GOP this November.

Do you have any evidence that the silent majority is behind Trump? I will agree that most people don’t like this lawlessness. But I don’t see any evidence that the American people are behind Donald Trump.

That does not mean that he will get reelected because he may very well. But there’s also a chance Biden could win if voters think thats what it will it take to calm the mobs

I don’t care what happened in 2016. Do not dismiss the polls because they don’t say what do you think they should
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Just got done fostering a 7 month female Chihuahua. Darn thing thought she was a pitbull. Sweet disposition, loved my wife to pieces She loved to cuddle and take naps with me. If anyone would have tried to hurt my wife she would have taken them out at the knee and then gone for the throat. Our neighbor adopted her and she is just as protective of the women in that house.

One clear indication is how many tuned in and watched Trump's last rally.   Forget the numbers that 'would' have been there except for this "pandemic BS".   Donations is another clear indicator and donations to Trump are up.

Another bit of "evidence" is my common sense and logic.   There are millions of folks who, like myself, are ""out there"" and are pissed as hell at the left and have been for YEARS.   We have never ever been "polled"... for some reason.   And we are FTFU with the shenanigans of the DemocRats for the past four years....and with what we know they would do if given the power.

The only way the rats will win this November is via massive voter fraud (like mail-in ballots).   Nobody in their "right mind" (pardon pun) would vote for that lying, befuddled scum Biden.   And that goes no matter what tool he picks for VP.... and no matter what fake/phony "new October surprise" the leftist scum dredge up against Trump.

I have never preferred or wanted a Chihuahua...but that one there is probably one I would like.  I just don't allow my dogs to bark unless there's a good, real reason (or unless I'm teasing them). happy77

Yeah, I have been looking for an ottoman to put next to the bed.. That'd be about half way up...

And this time around in town, I am fixin to go to the Harbor Freight and pick up a lift-cart. One of those 4-wheel freight carts with a hydraulic lift built in... Probably a better sort of thing as a grooming table anyway... And I was kinda admiring the thought for fixin on small engine equipment anyways...

One of my buddies is a big badass biker dude... Gypsy leather and the whole 9...  Had him a chihuahua named Duke for shoot, maybe 20 years... Rode on the gas tank, or tucked up in a leather saddlebag.

Ol duke would show up at a shop and give the local junkyard dogs what-for... Never seemed to understand it wasn't him backin them dogs down... It was the Biker dude giving them the stink-eye... With that little bitty dog standing right between his legs...  :silly:

Well... I'm not good at building stuff (female, ya know)... but I would get a piece of plywood, cover it with some carpet (staple-gun) and maybe brace it underneath with a cinder-block (painted, of course...lol).   Or... just three cinder blocks covered with fabric or carpet, assuming you have enough room next to the bed.

My dog is still young enough to jump, but when she can't ... I'll figure something out....maybe even get a small set of foam steps (https://www.bing.com/search?q=foam+pet+steps+for+small+dogs&qs=RI&pq=small+foam+steps+for+d&sc=3-22&cvid=59F712CAFA954FBFA9E8EE8FB5DBDDE7&FORM=CHRDEF&sp=1).

I am a carpenter (built most of this house), and a metal worker, and a machinist... Among a few other hats... So I can certainly build something, anything... But I think the ottoman will do, at least for now...  Getting him up on the bed is kinda secondary... It has it's advantages... If he gets mad at me, he can't poop on my pillow right now... That's kinda a feature.  happy77

I haven't even ascertained how there is any evidence of an existence of a "silent majority." I know Trump thinks he can channel 1970 Richard Nixon, but he ain't bringing back 1970 demographics.

If you are maybe a little hard of hearing and need a guard dog for the house, get one of them little "rat dogs". They go off like an alarm clock if they hear a suspicious noise. NOTHING escapes their notice and alert yaps. Had a couple when I was a kid and we lived in the city.

As an adult,I owed a dobie that was without question THE best dog that had ever been born in all of history, but she sucked as an alert dog. Couldn't get her to bark to save my life.  I did catch her staring at the front door of the apartment in Denver a time or two,or paying special interest to one of the windows, though. Never really bothered me. I figured she would probably eat whatever she caught, and I was good with that.

Only thing that bothered me is the potential of some idiot harming her in some way as she took him down. There was considerable danger of me overreacting and doing something like setting him on fire to watch him run while screaming.

Away from the apartment and the obligation to guard it and "her kittens",she was as harmless as ice cream unless there was someone around making a baby or child cry. NOT on her list of "good things to be doing." That's why I had to keep her on a chain when walking around with her.

I suspect she grew up in a house with small children, but don't know for sure. How I got her was I went to open the door one day to let my mean cat in that was scratching on it,and the dobie followed her inside the house, crawled up on a chair, and laid down to take a nap. I said "OK,well,I guess I have a dog now. "

I have no freaking idea how the cat convinced the dog to follow her home, but damned if they didn't even sleep together. That cat was NOT friendly, either. I had lived with her for a year before I could touch her without getting scratched or snarled at. Yet she would do figure 8's around the dobies front legs while getting licked until she was soaked, and purring the whole time.

Yeah, I'm thinking of buying a set of steps ahead of time...before she even needs it.  You can get one at Walmart for around $30.   I'll just put the box up in the attic until necessary.

@XenaLee

Put it out now and let her get used to it.

Besides,it will save wear and tear on her shoulders and back as she ages more.
