Sen. Cruz: Justice Roberts is Using High Court to ‘Achieve Policy Outcomes He Desires’
By John Jakubisin | June 19, 2020 | 10:56am EDT

(CNS News) – Commenting on the Supreme Court’s 5-4 ruling against the Trump administration on DACA, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program -- in an opinion led by Chief Justice John Roberts -- Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said the “decision was lawless” and “disgraceful.” He added that Roberts was “playing games.”

The court ruling upheld President Barack Obama’s 2012 executive order, which allows a two-year (renewable) delay on deportation of people who are brought to the United States unlawfully as children.

Ted Cruz is exactly right about this.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

He is, but Cruz will unfortunately carry the stigma for recommending him.
Yet, at the time , he looked like a pretty solid conservative pick.
I don't think Cruz or anyone else would have expected the flip that Roberts has made.

I wonder how Harriet Meyers would have done.

At the time I believe Miers withdrew in favor of Alito.  Thank heavens she did.

John ROberts, one more POS reminder of the George Bush era.  He was the worst POTUS until Obama came along.  What a great leagacy for Bush, the uber liberal Roberts is a major embarrassment for the GOP
