Former Bolton chief of staff says ex-boss 'couldn't figure out how to' work with Trump
By Victor Garcia | Fox News

Former National Security Council Chief of Staff Fred Fleitz told "The Story" Thursday that the "turning point" in President Trump's relationship with former National Security Adviser John Bolton came when the president "decided last June not to bomb Iran."

"You may remember that a drone was shot down," Fleitz told host Martha MacCallum. "And at the last minute, President Trump decided he was not going to attack Iran because we would have killed 100-200 people, no more.

"I thought that was a principled decision," he added. "This wasn't to win votes, this wasn't to promote the president domestically. It reflected the president's principle not to get America into additional wars. And it was an act of leadership because he bucked all of his national security advisers."

Former Bolton Chief Of Staff Reveals What He Thinks ‘Disproves the Whole Book’

Quote
It’s literally a string of sensationalist claims that beggar common sense and are against Trump’s actions and positions.

Here’s another one: Bolton claiming that Vladimir Putin convinced Trump to support Nicholas Maduro.

But in fact, Trump risked a lot to support and is still supporting Juan Guaido, Maduro’s opponent, who the U.S. recognizes as the legitimate leader of Venezuela.
...
But the turning point according to Fleitz was when Trump decided not to bomb Iran as Bolton wanted.

Quote
Recalling when Trump decided not to attack Iran after a U.S. drone was shot down because “we would have killed 100-200 people,” Fleitz called it a “principled decision.”

“This was not to win votes,” he said. “This wasn’t to promote the president domestically. It reflected the presidents’s principle not to get America into additional wars. And it was an act of leadership, because he bucked all of his national security advisors, Pompeo, the Secretary of Defense, so when we hear that the president does not have principles, he’s not qualified to lead, this incident that Bolton puts forward as the turning point for his relationship with President Trump in my mind it disproves the whole book.”

It's interesting how at least some of Bolton's Gotcha-Trumps are diametrically contrary to things Trump has said and done ... almost as if Bolton made shit up to feed the Dems' Shampeachment 2.0.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Book Overview
For at least thirty-five years, the United States has been at war with enemies sworn to its destruction. It did not seek enmity or hostilities with them. Both are the product of forces that long predated the establishment of this country, to say nothing of its adoption toward the end of the 20th Century of policies towards the Middle East or other regions. For much of this period, the U.S. government has pursued various strategies - including selective military engagements, benign neglect, willful blindness and outright appeasement - that have in common one very low common denominator: They all ignore the aforementioned realities and, as a practical matter, have exacerbated them. A lack of clarity about these realities or a strategy for dealing effectively with them has contributed to a strategic environment of great and growing danger and a wholly inadequate American capacity for contending with such perils. This paper recommends corrective actions, starting with a clear-eyed understanding of the enemy we confront - namely, an international, ideologically driven Global Jihad Movement and its enablers - and the essential elements of an effective strategy for countering it. The alternative approach is modeled after the successful strategy President Ronald Reagan pursued to defeat Soviet communism, embodied in his National Security Decision Directive (NSDD) 75.

It really is too bad that Trump embraces big players in the global Jihad scenario like Turkeys Erdogan.  And he faults Bolton for wanting to take action against Iran after shooting down a US drone?  Yet you all praised the assassination of the Iran General that has led to Iran bombing US facilities in Iraq.

Yeah right.  And this Fleiz guy has his own baggage.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

And isn't this funny, but the guy was seen as the same Hawkish person as John Bolton when appointed.

Fred Fleitz is the most confrontational person I’ve met in journalism

I'm sure he just must have changed his mind about Jihad, Islam and Sharia law and embraced Trumps anti war policy.  Leaving John Bolton in the dust for his very own political ambitions.

Important to know the truth about who your listening to.

This editorial slant on Iran was already apparent during his stint with LINGET. In July 2012, for example, LIGNET hosted a roundtable discussion “on the serious threat a nuclear Iran poses to the United States.”[8]Participants included Fleitz and Hayden, as well as Arnaud de Borchgrave and Thomas Sanderson of the Center for Strategic and International Studies. According to a Newsmax story about the event, which was available to LIGNET members only, Hayden “delivered a disturbing message” during the discussion, arguing that “Every time you turn the page, it gets scarier.” Fleitz, according to Newsmax, stated that “diplomacy is no longer an option,” arguing that Iran “wants to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.”[9]

In March 2012, Fleitz contended in a 2012 LIGNET.com interview that the Assad regime in Syria might try to transfer nuclear weapons-related material to Iran or terrorist groups, arguing: “If Assad thinks he’s in danger, he just may decide to transfer some technology, or maybe some uranium, to Iran.” The claims were reported on the LIGNET.com webpage under the heading, “The Secret Threat from Syria’s Nuclear Weapons Program.” Despite this alarming headline, it is not clear that Syria has ever had a “nuclear weapons program.” Although the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) concluded in 2011 that a Syrian building destroyed by Israeli jets in 2007 was “very likely” a nuclear reactor, the IAEA made no claims with respect to a nuclear weapons program.[10] In an email to Right Web, Fleitz appeared to walk back some aspects of the LIGNET.com story, claiming that he did not think he ever said that there was a “secret threat” from Syria’s nuclear program and that his point was that there are “unanswered questions about the Syrian program and related materials.”[11]

Bolton Installs Anti-Muslim Wingnut As NSC Chief of Staff
By Eric Levitz

@EricLevitz

Excerpt:

lined with Arabic signs guiding “radicalized Muslims” into the U.S.
Michael Flynn’s tenure in the Trump administration proved brief, but his penchant for paranoid conspiracy theories did not leave the National Security Council with him: By the time Flynn was ousted, he had already installed staffers who sought to advance the security interests of the United States by, among other things, drafting a “memo” claiming that Marxists, Islamists, the “deep state,” globalists, Bankers, and Establishment Republicans were all conspiring to destroy President Trump because he posed an “existential threat” to “cultural Marxist” memes.

Once H.R. McMaster got settled in the West Wing, he evicted Flynn’s infowarriors from the building. The “Establishment” general proceeded to put together a more conventionally hawkish — and less flagrantly Islamophobic — national security team. But Trump soon grew tired of McMaster’s dry briefings and insufficient sycophancy, and abruptly replaced him with John Bolton.

While less flamboyant in fear and loathing of Muslims than Flynn was, Bolton is one of many fringe neoconservatives who’s taken up residence in the alt-right-wing foreign-policy think tanks erected by the Islamophobia industry: Since 2013, Bolton has served as chairman of the Gatestone Institute, an organization that claims Muslims have established hundreds of  “microstates governed by Islamic Sharia law” (a.k.a. “no-go zones”) throughout France; that Muslim refugees have brought “a rape epidemic” and “exotic diseases” with them to Germany; and that the United Kingdom is on the cusp of becoming an “Islamist colony.”

And now, Bolton is remaking the National Security Council in his image. On Tuesday, Trump’s latest national security adviser named former CIA analyst Fred Fleitz as his chief of staff. Here are a few things worth knowing about the man who will now play a lead role in coordinating America’s national security policy:

• Fleitz served as Bolton’s chief of staff when the latter was undersecretary of State in George W. Bush’s administration. In that role, Fleitz fought viciously with analysts at the State Department and Central Intelligence Agency — because they refused to let Bolton publicly claim that Cuba was attempting to acquire biological weapons, on the basis of his idiosyncratic interpretation of intelligence reports. In declassified email exchanges, Fleitz derided the State Department’s assessment that there was insufficient evidence to claim Cuba was seeking illegal weapons as “wimpy.” The State Department’s top expert on biological weapons, Christian P. Westermann, meanwhile, wrote a colleague that Bolton and Fleitz’s “personal attacks, harassment and impugning of my integrity” were “now affecting my work, my health and dedication to public service.”

Its becoming a familiar, tired theme - Longtime DC insider is frustrated because the president won’t defer to their ‘superior’ understanding of the issue, gets fired and runs to panting media to spill the beans because for once they have something that will fetch a tidy profit. And a little ‘payback’ as the cherry on top.

Bolton will end up where all the others have ended up. The media will be the losers again, though, because although Bolton is through as a beltway insider at least he’ll have a little of the media’s money.

Bolton never had any intention of "working with" Donald trump.  He took the job with the expectation he could push Trump around the way he did Bush 43.  He got sacked when it became obvious he could not.  His book will sell millions, because the extreme leftists want to make it look like people give a rip.
