Fox's Hemmer presses McEnany on public absence of Birx, Fauci: 'They seem to have disappeared'

Fox News Channel's Bill Hemmer on Tuesday grilled White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany about rising cases of coronavirus in Florida and also asked about where Dr. Deborah Birx and Dr. Anthony Fauci have been in recent weeks.

“Will we see Drs. Birx and Fauci anytime soon?” Hemmer asked of the leading doctors on the White House coronavirus task force. “Because they seem to have disappeared.”

"Dr. Birx and Fauci are hard at work. I'm in task force with them. I'm constantly gathering information from them. But we're moving forward on a number of issues including policing and we're also keeping in mind COVID as we safely reopen the country," McEnany responded.


Earlier in the interview, Hemmer asked: "What is the level of concern in Jacksonville, Fla, Kayleigh?"
