Senate Republicans are quiet after President Donald Trump tweeted out support for a theory that a 75-year-old protester injured by police in Buffalo, New York was actually a “set up” by Antifa.

The Daily Caller reached out to seven top Republican senators for comment on the issue, but none responded. They include Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Maine Sen. Susan Collins, North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr, Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn, Arizona Sen. Martha McSally, and Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley.

Buffalo protester shoved by Police could be an ANTIFA provocateur. 75 year old Martin Gugino was pushed away after appearing to scan police communications in order to black out the equipment. @OANN  I watched, he fell harder than was pushed. Was aiming scanner. Could be a set up?
