Former Attorney General Eric Holder was slammed on social media after he cheered on the “patriotic protesters” and declared that this is “our moment” to bring on “sweeping changes” in the nation.

The former Obama administration official got a reality check from Twitter users as he continued his commentary on the fallout from the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis last week, praising the Black Lives Matter protests and calling for a “movement.”

“We have our MOMENT. The entire nation has been galvanized. The patriotic protesters have done well and will continue to do so,” Holder, who served as attorney general from 2009 to 2015, tweeted Sunday.

“This is not enough. We need to construct a MOVEMENT that puts in place the structural reforms necessary for the sweeping changes that are badly needed.”
