Patterson TV ad calls Van Drew ‘too liberal’
GOP congressional candidate starts airing cable TV ad
By David Wildstein, May 19 2020 10:32 am

Bob Patterson has taken GOP primary challenge against Democrat-turned-Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-Dennis) to the airwaves, launching a TV ad contrasting his support of President Donald Trump to Van Drew’s record as a Democratic congressman and state legislator.

The ad, “The Conservative Choice,” highlights Patterson’s service in the Trump administration and his pro-border wall, pro-gin and pro-life views.
“Van Drew voted for amnesty and against President Trump’s border wall. He voted for gun control. And Van Drew even has a 100% rating from Planned Parenthood. That’s too liberal,” the 30-second ad says.

The Patterson campaign said the ad will run districtwide on cable television.  They stopped short of saying how much money they will put behind the ad, but said it will be a significant buy between now and the July 7 Republican primary.

“As a 30-year Democrat officeholder, Jeff Van Drew has sided with radical liberals over South Jersey citizens time and again,” Patterson said in a statement. “In Congress, Van Drew voted with Nancy Pelosi and AOC to support abortion and gun control, while opposing all of President Trump’s key policy initiatives. He also co-sponsored amnesty legislation, a bill to resuscitate the long-dead Equal Rights Amendment, and the Democrat smear of Trump as a racist. Van Drew may think he can reinvent himself as a Republican, but his votes don’t lie. His votes are 100% liberal — too liberal for South Jersey.”

Patterson was one of three Republicans in the race to challenge Van Drew when the freshman congressman announced he was switching parties and would seek re-election as a Republican.

Sierra Club endorses Van Drew re-election
Environmental group backs freshman congressman 15 months before next election
By David Wildstein, August 07 2019 8:40 pm

After just seven months in Congress, Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-Dennis) has compiled a strong enough record on environmental issues to secure the Sierra Club endorsement for his 2020 re-election campaign.

Now Van Drew is fundraising off the endorsement.

“Big news! Sierra Club has endorsed our re-election campaign,” the campaign wrote in an e-mail today.  “In Congress, Jeff is working tirelessly to protect our environment, defend our coast from offshore drilling, and combat the climate crisis.”

Early support from groups like the Sierra Club helps Van Drew avoid a challenge from the left in next year’s Democratic primary.

The campaign said that Van Drew’s re-election is a key component to protecting the Democratic majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.

“We can’t let that happen. Between your support and that of important environmental advocacy groups like Sierra Club, we’re going to keep fighting back against the oil companies’ agendas and protect our environment.”

Gov. Phil Murphy, the leader of the progressive wing of the New Jersey Democratic Party, has already endorsed Van Drew for re-election.

Single Republican joins dozens of Democrats sponsoring COVID govt tracking bill
Rep. Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey switched from Democrat to Republican in early 2020 over a dispute with other Democrats over whether to impeach the president.

WASHINGTON, D.C., May 12, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) — Pro-abortion congressman Jeff Van Drew is the only Republican cosponsor of a bill that would grant $100 billion to entities engaging in contact tracing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The bill, known as H.R. 6666, would authorize the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services to “award grants to eligible entities to conduct diagnostic testing for COVID–19, to trace and monitor the contacts of infected individuals, and to support the quarantine of such contacts.”

Like I said Trump is a Trojan Horse.  He chooses this liberal over three Republicans just because he didn't vote for impeachment.  BTW did anyone know that Trump wanted Bush impeached?

 :Cricket:

Yeah, though so.  Its great when Trump supports a Liberal Nazi for Congress.  That one vote can make a difference for a child in the womb.  Don't care?  Like your guns?  One vote could be the tipping point.  Like environmental extremism that stifles businesses and send jobs out of the country?  Your vote can mean someone's business and job by overregulation.

And offshore drilling.  This guy is the advocate against it.
