A statue of Britain's most renowned leader Winston Churchill has been vandalized in London as protesters turned out to speak against racism.
The vandalism came on the anniversary of D-Day when allied forces -- partially led by Churchill -- stormed the beaches of Normandy during World War II.

Churchill has become popular down thru the decades, but at WWII's end, he was voted out of Parliament.

Health issues to eventual resignation Churchill was just short of his 77th birthday when he became prime minister again and he was not in good health. The main worry was that he had had a number of minor strokes and he was not heeding their warnings.[519] In December 1951, George VI had become concerned about Churchill's decline and resolved to broach the subject in the new year by asking Churchill to stand down in favour of Eden. The King had his own serious health issues and died on 6 February without making the request.[520]
Because of Churchill's health and his evident inability to focus on paperwork, he was not expected to remain in office for more than a year or so, but he constantly delayed resignation until finally his health necessitated it. One of the main reasons for the delay was that his designated successor Eden also suffered a serious long-term health issue, following a botched abdominal operation in April 1953.[521] George VI was succeeded by Elizabeth II, with whom Churchill developed a close friendship.[522] Some of Churchill's colleagues hoped that he might retire after her Coronation in May 1953 but, in response to Eden's illness, Churchill decided to increase his own responsibilities by taking over at the Foreign Office.[523][524][522] Eden was incapacitated until the end of the year and was never completely well again.[525]
Possibly because of the extra strain, Churchill suffered a serious stroke on the evening of 23 June 1953. Despite being partially paralysed down one side, he presided over a cabinet meeting the next morning without anybody noticing his incapacity. Thereafter his condition deteriorated, and it was thought that he might not survive the weekend. Had Eden been fit, Churchill's premiership would most likely have been over. News of his illness was kept from the public and from Parliament, who were told that Churchill was suffering from exhaustion. He went home to Chartwell to recuperate and it was not until November that he was fully recovered.[526][527][528] He soldiered on through 1954 until, aware that he was slowing down both physically and mentally, he retired as prime minister in April 1955 and was succeeded by Eden.[529]

I suppose the same thing is happening in Great Britain that is happening here.  Young people appear to have but a single focus, with no comprehension on history, geography, religion, politics, along withe many other subjects.  And in regard to math, if a screen does not display the amount of change, they are at a complete loss.  We are producing idiots in large part.

Wonder how blacks, and the left in general would have fared  in the UK if the Nazis had won?   :pondering:
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

It's 1968 all over again.  It was really bad in France,  the students then all worshipped Mao.

Once Hitler finished with the Jews and the handicapped, I suspect he would have started eliminating folks of color.    In conquering other lands, he would have purged them of Jews, handicapped, gays, and anyone that posed a threat.

I have great admiration of Churchill.  He was not a perfect man by any means, but he stood tall at a time when the world needed leadership.
