Armed Texans Defend Alamo from Potential Rioters

Armed Texans placed themselves at the Alamo Cenotaph Saturday afternoon in advance of George Floyd protests in San Antonio, Texas.

Protesters defaced the monument early Friday with downward-facing arrows placed next to the statements “white supremacy,” “profit over People” and “the ALAMO,” according to an article by the San Antonio Express-News.

Texans consider the Cenotaph sacred because it is a memorial to those who died fighting at the Alamo.

“Well, it’s all pretty simple.  If you’re mad that George Floyd got murdered, well good. So am I,” David Ahmad with Open Carry Texas said in a video posted on Facebook. “If you want to respond to that by burning Target, or a drug store, or looting a liquor store, or destroying the Alamo, you can kiss both sides of my ass. We’re going to put a stop to you.” He was very clear that some of those there would use “any means necessary” to put a stop to it.

“So, just do it right. Protest the man’s death because it should be protested. Things need to change. This bullshit’s got to stop.”

He warned protestors not to use Floyd’s death to “tear up the Alamo or tear up a restaurant,” or use it as an excuse to burn or steal.

I have no shame in saying that my wife with her two .357 revolvers is a much better shot than I am.  It's what keeps me in line at the house! LOL!

Yeah I was thinking about that this morning.  Since I came back from Germany in 2016 and got my first gun...this is the longest I've gone without going to the range.  In fact I probably need to pull my guns out and break them down and put a coat of CLP on them just for maintenance purposes.

Well, my friend in Houston has continued going to the range there every weekend and occasionally during the work week (he has his own business and makes his own work schedule).   I guarantee if I was still in Houston I'd be "up to speed" (or back to speed) in no time...lol.

You can always do "Dry Fire Training" at home. One thing I like for dry fire is a Laser bullet. There are many to choose from. And there are apps you can load on your phone to keep record of how well you are doing.

If you go to /pol/ on 4chan (and I warn you about that site, it's very graphic) there have been a multitude of posts with latinos chasing and shooting at the BLM and antifa rioters.

There was a book I'd read in the early nineties.
It was called "Barbarians at the gate", but it was not the same book about RJR-Nabisco, that they made a movie out of.
This one was about how the elites of this country (from all political parties) would continue to stir up race relations between poor whites and minorities, then ratchet up police-state type tactics, taking away rights in the name of "safety", etc.
All the while, the elites would be protected, living in gated communities, etc, living the life of Riley.

The Author's name was either McDowell or McDonald.
It was a warning that we had better change or else.
I'll be darned, if it didn't come to fruition, in just under 3 decades.

I've been looking for that book, but I can not find it.
I checked it out of a local library around 1992.

My best friend is the commander of the American Legion post in Wylie.  They got wind that there was a planned protest at the park where the American Legion memorial is at on Sunday.  He's trying to get ahold of the Chief of Police to see what can be done to protect the memorial from vandalism.

lol...  I live within  the Big Thicket (technically).  Pretty convient place for looters to get lost if you ask me.
