These Servicemen Are The Most Decorated In American History

Although every American who has served in the United States military is a hero in their own right, there are those who stand out for their acts of valor and bravery in the face of danger. Although not all are as recognized as others for their deeds, the United States government does the best they can to honor and give thanks to particular soldiers who rose beyond the call of duty. Here are some of the highest-decorated servicemen in American history, and the stories that separate them from the rest.

See the soldier who became one of the most medaled of World War II and was also a movie star.

Boatswain’s Mate First Class James “Willie” Williams

If Colonel Robert Howard isn't mentioned, the list is BS.

He got all of his valor awards during a 3 year period, and during that time was put in for the Medal of Honor on 3 separate occasions AS AN ENLISTED MAN. He ran recon and interdiction missions along the Ho Chi Mihn Trail in Laos and Cambodia, and the first two awards were denied because there were no conventional US Army units operating in the border area near him so his commendations could be written to imply he was detached and working with them.

He did get it on the 3rd try, though

Bob was something special,squared.

How can they mention Dan Daly and not the quote he's famous for?

The people that put these "click baits" together are advertising geeks, and just slop stuff together they get from google searches and post it to score hits.

I can tell from the obvious historical errors I've seen in them.

Truth to tell,I fell kinda sorry for them. They grew up as geeks and got advanced geek degrees, and now, after spending all that time, money, and work to get those degrees, some people that park cars for a living earn more money and have better job security.

I have several friends who had teenage children that were telling me 10+ years or so ago that they didn't need to learn how to cook, fix cars, build houses,or any other "menial trade because I am going to get rich designing computer games."

Uh,huh.  At least one is SELLING computer games at a mall software chain store, and I guess,"living the dream".

Computer geeks have to be some of the lowest paid technical specialists on the planet, now.

"Cogs in the Machine".
