People are gathering in cities across the US on Saturday as protests over George Floyd’s death continue for a fifth day. Floyd died after he was pinned to the ground by Minneapolis police officers. One of the officers, Derek Chauvin, was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter on Friday.

This "DEM" opportunity is not going to end well for the GOP nor Trump.  Not making light of what is happening, and certainly not making light of Floyd's death .... it's just that the DEMS never miss an opportunity.   The pandemic and now this.  This I'm afraid is just the very beginning.

Minneapolis has declared itself a sanctuary city.  It is already on record declining federal intervention.

No he isn't, but we are also in a pandemic which Trump is being blamed for and he is also being blamed for this.  Either way you cut it, Trump won't be able to keep silent on this matter and regardless of what he says, it will be re-interpreted as racist and we will see even more pandemonium unless Trump is willing to bend far to the left in order to maintain some kind of peace.

In listening to a couple of speakers this afternoon; the Blacks are tired of being silent .... they want the White Man to make peace the way the Blacks want it.

NYC Protests Continue Saturday After 2 Nights of Violent Clashes With Police

Thousands of protestors are taking to New York City's streets for a third day Saturday to demonstrate against police brutality in the wake of the death of George Floyd, a black man who pleaded for his life as a white police officer in Minneapolis knelt on his neck earlier this week for nearly 9 minutes.

Protests were planned in all five boroughs Saturday. The city's Office of Emergency Management warned to expect traffic delays and road closures due to one in Manhattan, along FDR Drive, by mid-afternoon, as witnesses described a largely "peaceful" demonstration outside the 28th Precinct in Harlem. Large crowds also blocked traffic on the West Side Highway around 100th Street.

Law enforcement officials confirmed at least nine arrests in Manhattan by the late-afternoon, but NBC New York cameras caught additional arrests in the borough and across the river in Brooklyn. Several groups across both boroughs were still gathered around Flatbush and Washington Square Park as of 6 p.m.

Earlier, hundreds joined a Staten Island afternoon rally the Rev. Al Sharpton led to the site where Eric Garner died after being placed in an NYPD police officer's chokehold in 2014.
