I am an avid toober, and I can witness. I have two channels, one being for religious matters, and the other toward homesteading/bushcraft/garden, farm, and ranch...
Now, it is fair to say that my religious views are not orthodox. I am comfortably in the fringe.... But I can tell you true that of the thirty or so subscriptions I carried, only one third of them still exist. And of those that remain, exactly NONE of them appear in my front page, nearly ever. I literally have to go into my subscriptions to find them at all.
And Google claims to offer you things you would like, according to your searches, subscriptions and etc... Again, that front page will yield very little that is 'messianic' oriented... Plenty of chunked-and-formed big-name christianity (which I assume they pay for), but little that is not semitary approved.
And the very same thing goes on the farm channel... Half of those channels have been banished. I get all the Monsanto approved nonsense you could ever see, but try to find food as medicine, organic stuff, foraging, home butchering, and what not... It is still there, until you subscribe to that sort of thing... then the gentle nudging toward Big Farma begins...
And it's all over. I am as redneck as they come. You would think that my front page, be it with Google or Bing, or Yahoo, they would be delivering toward that end... I should be seeing a lot of farm reports, and ag stuff... Pickup trucks and beer, tractors, livestock, and country music... I mean JUST in music... I have been online for a couple decades. You would thing they'd know I like Country.
But none of that. None. I get NFL scores, not Nascar. I get stock market, not ag reports, I get horoscopes, not farmer's almanac... I get acres of big city celebrity, that I give not a single damn about, pop music, rap music, and not a single dang thing having to do with country living.
It ain't just the news being censored.
