Gavin Newsom says federal government has “moral” and “ethical” obligation to bail out socialist states that have racked up insurmountable debt

(Natural News) After suffering years of financial mismanagement at the hands of Gavin Newsom, and before him, Jerry Brown, California is now in some deep fiscal trouble. But rather than own up to his mistakes and take responsibility for them, Newsom is instead blaming the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) for his poor leadership while demanding that the federal government rescue his state from financial ruin.

During a recent appearance on CNN‘s “State of the Union,” Newsom basically told Jake Tapper that California would be doing just fine if it were not for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19), denying all allegations that his shutdown of the state economy and corresponding lockdowns had anything to do with it. Instead, it is all Trump’s fault, which means that California deserves a massive stimulus injection, according to Newsom.

I kind of thought people elected to state positions had a moral and ethical responsibility to keep their states financially solvent without government help.  Unfortunately, liberal states see being elected to a position as some kind of mandate to spend money they don't have to help them stay in their elected positions.  I've looked and can't find anything in the Constitution which makes it the "moral and ethical" responsibility of the federal government to give money to states who don't know how to use a check book and use money as a means of buying votes.

No. California must be left to wallow in their own shit-stained, needle infested streets. Bailing them out would only enable a drug addict. Once they receive the bailout, they will waste it all on Left-wing fantasy projects and then double down on debt. Until California learns that actions have consequences, like a spoiled brat they will simply keep doing what Leftists always do and continue to spend as if money is meaningless because they can always print more.
