Brzezinski says she arranged call with Twitter CEO to discuss banning Trump
By Joe Concha - 05/20/20 02:56 PM EDT

MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski says she will speak with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to discuss getting President Trump banned from Twitter.

The "Morning Joe" co-host argued that the social media giant's platform policies are being "abused by the day."

"Need to know why Trump is not banned?" Brzezinski asked in the first of a series of tweets.

I'm no fan of Trump and his tweets, but encouraging censorship on social media of someone you don't like will one day be turned on you.  As it is, Twitter and Facebook are notorious for deleting content they object to.  People's constitutional rights are being violated every day.  Mika should consider what will happen when her ilk's vision of socialist utopia comes true and she says or posts something that does not toe the party line.  Could be that not only will she be censored, but she could end up in prison or dead.

Seriously, banning Trump would be close to corporate suicide for Twitter.

How many MesSNBC hosts' Twitter volume would it take to equal Trump's? Would several CNN hosts' volume have to be tossed in too? I don't use Twitter, so I don't know.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Nah, they would keep traffic up by ?tweeting what Trump would have said(according to them) and then creating a tweet storm of replies. You know kinda like already happens with all of them telling us what Trump really meant...............but then that already has been going on for a long time with all politicians.

Has Twitter responded to her rant yet?
For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16
I will NOT comply.

There might actually be a principled argument for social media companies banning all elected officials from posting/tweeting, on the argument that spending time instantaneously communicating with the public is a distraction from the business of governance.  Of course, as social media companies are private enterprises, it should be up to their shareholders, and (alas) would be up to their management, to decide whether the public good from getting elected officials out of the public spotlight would be worth the hit to their bottom line such a policy would generate.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.

Hmmmm,I am going to have to think this one over. As much as I hate censorship, there might be some positive consequences.

BTW,Twitter is for Twits.
