I'm calling Bull Bush on that one. There is no such critter as a welder pulling in a 6-figure salary. Especially not one still obviously in their 20's.

In New York City a skilled union carpenter makes $150,000 + overtime.

Don’t know the numbers for welders, though.

Are we talking strictly about "union carpenters" that wear handmade suits and shades to "work",or people who actually swing a hammer occasionally?

What you are talking about is 75 bucks an hour,straight time,for 40 hour weeks in a 50 week work year.

No way in hell a hammer swinger is worth that much. Maybe a cabinet maker that makes custom cabinets to fit,but not a regular trim carpenter.
