Trump says he's been taking hydroxychloroquine

President Trump on Monday revealed he's taking hydroxychloroquine, a controversial drug that he's championed as a potential treatment for coronavirus despite limited evidence from the medical community.

Trump said he consulted with the White House doctor about taking the drug, but it was not recommended for him.

"I asked him what do you think. He said, 'Well if you’d like it.' I said, 'Yeah I’d like it. I’d like to take it.'"

He said he's been taking the drug for about a week-and-a-half and based his decision on positive reviews he's heard from frontline healthcare workers.

"So far, I seem to be ok," Trump said.

Trump reveals he's taking hydroxychloroquine in effort to prevent coronavirus symptoms

President Trump revealed to reporters on Monday he’s taking the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine in an effort to prevent getting coronavirus, saying he’s been taking a pill every day for about a week and a half.

“I’m taking it – hydroxychloroquine,” the president told reporters during a roundtable with restaurant leaders in the White House’s State Dining Room.

He added: “I think it's good. I've heard a lot good stories. And if it's not good, I'll tell you right, I'm not going to get hurt by it."

The president added that he consulted with the White House physician before starting to take the drug.

Hydroxychloroquine is a widely used anti-malarial drug that the president has touted as a possible treatment for COVID-19.......

I had to turn him off.  Cavuto's convinced the President taking  hydrooxychoroquine +zinc is going to end up killing people... because they're going to return to drinking fish tank cleaner.

Has anyone checked Cavuto's shelf life?

I am now. Reading that he is taking the zinc is key. Without the Zinc it is not so useful.

My mom has been taking hydroxychloroquine for years for another condition. She goes in for regular eye checks (vision degradation being a possible side effect).

Since this virus pandemic started, I've been using the ZICAM 'Rapid Melts' (Cherry) which contains zinc to shorten colds.

Of course, one of my daily meds' side effects is a runny and stuffy nose, ... so WTF do I know?     :laugh:

Airborne has zinc and minerals.  Many multi vitamins have zinc.  Ginger and peppermint are antivirals and anti inflammatories so I drink ginger and peppermint tea.

We all have to take precautions and do what we feel is best for us. 

...umm.... let's face it .... one day sooner or later, we are all going to pass, whether it be from COVID, the flu, a heart attack, some other ailment or old age ... it will eventually happen.

Cavuto got it wrong. the VA did NOT administer a Zinc supplement. Under those circumstances, the very purpose of the hydroxychloroquine is thwarted--there is no zinc to transfer through the cell membrane into the cell to stop the virus.

As I have said before, not having the Zinc supplement as part of the regimen is the equivalent of sending empty boats to the beach on D-Day. The administration of one or two of the medications in the regimen, BUT NOT ALL THREE is criminal, and it is hard to believe it was done other than to give an event to cite to discredit the regimen.
At the same time, any accounts which indicate success are being scrubbed from Youtube and other social media.

You don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to look down the road at the profit motive for those who insist a vaccine is the only thing which will work, and start connecting dots.
