Lake Michigan, Lake Huron break water level records in April
Associated Press Published 2:16 p.m. ET May 9, 2020

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — Lake Michigan and Lake Huron have broken water records as predicted, and the levels are expected to rise further in the coming months.

The new water level records for the two Great Lakes in April were 13.4 inches higher than last year at this time and almost 3 inches higher than the record set in 1986, the Traverse City Record-Eagle reported.

"Michigan-Huron is still in its period of seasonal rise, typically in the spring and early summer during increased precipitation and increased runoff," said Deanna Apps, physical scientist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Detroit District.

It wasn't 10 years ago that great wailing, gnashing of teeth, and fears of catastrophe enveloped global warming terrrorists and we were being told global warming was drying up the Great Lakes.  What have we discovered?  There are peaks and valleys in a natural cycle; that AGL terrorist hysteria is chosen by an extreme small piece of the global climate. :thud:
