Pence concedes he should have worn mask during Mayo Clinic visit
Washington Examiner, May 3, 2020

Vice President Mike Pence admitted that he should have worn a mask when he visited the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota last week.

“I didn’t think it was necessary,” Pence told Fox News on Sunday during a town hall. “But I should have worn a mask at the Mayo Clinic.”

Pence noted that Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines recommend masks to stop those who have the coronavirus from spreading it. The vice president and President Trump are regularly tested for the disease.

The Mayo Clinic said in a since-deleted tweet that it informed Pence’s office before his arrival that it required all visitors to wear masks. Pence was heavily criticized for flouting the clinic’s rules.

The vice president donned a mask days later when visiting a General Motors plant in Indiana.

“I wore it when I visited the ventilator plant in Indiana,” he said Sunday.

A real man admits it when he's wrong.
