Two OF the greatest songwriters maybe,but not THE two greatest. There is so much competition I don't even know where to begin,but the name Carol King comes to mind as one serious competitor.

Paul McCarthey wasn't too shabby a song writer,either.

 Nor was Willie Nelson or Roy Orbinson.

The list is practically endless.

Bruce was wonderful back in the 70s and 80s. Playing in the Stone Pony and other Jersey landmarks when he was coming up.

I can’t think of too many people around my age or a bit older that didn’t see him in concert, or see him playing somewhere else when he was just getting started.


Unfortunately, I stopped listening by 89 -90 and I think a lot of other people I was aquatinted with did to. I think we just outgrew him. I think I kinda did after “The River” but that’s just me.

But I think of him fondly when I think of sixth grade through my early/mid twenties.


And I’m also jonsing for pie. Can you have pie for breakfast?
