‘Proud teacher’ from Rhode Island offers to pay anyone with COVID-19 to cough on Trump

You’ve probably heard the expression those who can, do, and those who can’t, teach.

A Rhode Island public school teacher perhaps gave that chestnut a new meaning by allegedly taking to Twitter with an offer to pay someone infected with COVID-19 to cough on President Trump.

The educator in question, who has subsequently deactivated her Twitter account that purportedly operated anonymously under the handle “Proud Teacher,” is said to teach English as a Second Language to middle schoolers. She previously taught in neighboring Massachusetts.

I was just reading a story about teachers in a small town putting together meals for families of those out of work because of this virus.  In with the meals were notes of encouragement for parents and children alike.

Then we have this attention whore.

Hey, Teach -- I have a better idea for your money.  How about donating to the food bank so the families of those kids you teach can put food on the table?

If I was a parent of a kid this person teaches, she wouldn't be teaching anymore.

My district if furnishing lunch and dinner for any family in need 5 days a week, Public, private, or home school at no expense to the family. Show up tell them how many kids, pick up and go.

A Rhode Island teacher is under investigation after tweeting out a message offering payment to COVID-19 patients to deliberately cough on President Trump and infect him with the deadly virus.

The female teacher identified herself in a later tweet as a sixth-grade teacher at Villa Nova Middle School which is located in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

“Somebody with Covid-19, I will pay you to cough on #Trump,” read the original tweet. The account used by the teacher has now been deleted, but was created under the name “Proud Teacher.”

My sister made threats against President Bush in 2001. The USSS investigated her an' though they found her incapable of carrying out the threats (she suffered from MS an' was wheelchair bound until her death) they still kept a file open on her an' checked in on her from time to time until she died in 2013.

Sorry @mortarman about your sister.  But the Secret Service did the right thing to keep tabs on her.  They had no way of knowing whether she could have influenced someone else to carry out her threats.  I pray your sister is now at peace.

That was the general consensus in the family. She went left-wing back in the late '60s an' got mixed up in drugs an' such. She absolutely hated conservatism an' dis-owned her oldest son when he joined the army. She would not have anything to do with him or the rest of the family because we supported him. So he would come up to Wisconsin for his leaves instead of Oregon where she lived.
