I agree.  That's why he needs to stop the needless controversy.

Just FYI, in Gov. DeWine's presser today, he said he called the President and got a call back because the FDA has delayed approving life saving sterilization of N-95 masks.  Batelle Research Lab in Columbus has developed a system to sanitize 80,000 masks A DAY so that they can be reused by first responders.  There is already one ready to go on Long Island, one in Ohio, one on the way to NYC, and plans to send them to DC and Seattle.  They just need the FDA approval for all 80,000, and the bureaucracy is in the way.

The Governor said that President Trump said, "Let's get on it," and promised approval TODAY.  DeWine said "He gets it."

I have not disapproved of what Trump has done.  I only disapprove of what he keeps saying.

I hope you fans can get the difference here.

He needs to talk less and just keep doing what he's doing to get us through this.

Excellent news!

I think people need to remember that President Trump is showing extreme leadership, getting things done without much hesitation and many times thinking outside the box to save lives.  Sure, presidents have had to deal with various natural disasters, Pearl Harbor and 9-11, but no president has had to deal with a pandemic.  I'm so thankful that Hillary lost.

(Why can't his fan club admit ANY faults on his part? Why must you defend everything he does and destroy your own credibility?  What he is DOING is great.  What he is SAYING is not helping.  Can you get that??)

Defending Trump from unfair attacks is not refusing to admit ANY faults.  He has plenty, and his handling of this pandemic thing is not one of them.  Let's keep focus on that, on the Coronavirus Threads.

He's having to deal with Bullshit like this morning's Pelosi interview.  He defends himself, unlike other Republican Presidents.  It's TFB if he doesn't say the words we demand.

No.  If he was still on the Apprentice, instead of trolling the idiot left, the idiot left would still be applauding him.  Personally... I like him better 'this' way.

Well then, you’re clearly not one of the folks who cheers anything and everything he does, are you?

IOW, you’re not one of the people I’m referring to.

Yea.... if the FDA gets moving and does its job, our first responders will be safer tomorrow!

There's no way you could have watched the President's nearly two hour presser that just ended and still post this gibberish.

The President needs neither your advice nor your snark.  So, please, give it a rest.

I'd say he's doing both.  Today's presser was a good example of the daily BS.  The press is emboldened by Pelosi's declaration that Trump is fiddling while Rome burns.  Let's not harbor any illusions the press is not an arm of the Democrat Party, they obviously took her cue today.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
That has absolutely NOTHING to do with it, and you know it.

WE have a President.  WE need a President.  WE don't need someone who gets kicks out of trolling.

WE need a LEADER, not someone who loves controversy.  WE need clarity.  WE need leadership, not only in what is done but what is SAID.

The silliness about preferring a leftist is just that........... nonsense.

(Why can't his fan club admit ANY faults on his part? Why must you defend everything he does and destroy your own credibility?  What he is DOING is great.  What he is SAYING is not helping.  Can you get that??)
Fan club or no: Being a leader invites controversy, which will follow anyone who makes decisions.

Considering much of the controversy is the result of MSM and Demoncrat Party coordinated attacks aimed at reducing the ability of the Administration to get anything accomplished, even going to the lengths of Impeachment.
I really don't see how he could avoid controversy, and sometimes the best way to deal with it is to meet it head-on, at speed. That is his tactic, and he often keeps them tied up in knots with it.

Anyone with a pair of brain cells operating on the same frequency can see what he is doing in terms of his accomplishments. I watch what he does, not what he says.

Let me put it this way......

Do you and Xena want him to be reelected or not?  Assuming that you DO, then you and the rest of his fans should want him to behave in a way that gives the American people confidence in him.

You should NOT want him "trolling the left" because you like it and think it's cute.  You should want him to control his childish instincts to lash out and just BE President.

But you won't because you personally don't care what he says or how he says it. (You've said as much right here).

And clearly don't care if the average American voter DOES care how he behaves.

So, fan club, what is it?  Reelection, or continuing to be a childish troll?

Your vote.

I'm not fretting.

I just would like for some of you to realize that the things that make you go "Rah!  Rah!" make most adults say "Grow up."

If you say you want him reelected, maybe you should all write fan letters and tell him to control his baser instincts and act like he's actually the President.

Many people are seeing him daily now, and not just through the hateful eyes of the media.  Now is the time for him to man up and let the pettiness go...... even if it warms the cockles of your heart when he trolls the left.

I know I'm talking about him a lot, but Gov. DeWine deals with the leftist media every day, and puts down the anti-Trump badgering extremely well.   It CAN be done.

Trump needs to give it a try.

But for maybe the first time ever, thanks to Trump, the majority of American people are getting to "know who they are."

Whether or not that’s true (it might be), he doesn’t need to do it now.

This is a time of crisis and when he’s addressing the American people about it, he needs to keep the personal stuff out of it.

Just act like an adult.

If ever there was a time for him to grow up, this is it.

But would that be observable?  Would an anti-Trump person ever admit he's behaving in an "adult manner?"  Would that goalpost never move for partisan purposes?  And who defines "adult," anyway....

(For the record, I don't think you are an "anti-Trump."  I am not a "cheerleader.")

A HUGE number of people whom you are forgetting about is the majority of Americans who are neither Trump haters nor cheerleaders.

In times of crisis, Americans respond to leadership.  All I am saying (and what you and others are missing) is that Trump needs to not only DO what protects America (which I believe he is doing), but act like an adult.

If you love the guy, pray that he grows up.  The majority of Americans aren't on the extremes.  They want to have confidence in their President.  What you and his other fans love is offensive to most people.  If you want him to WIN in November, pray that he starts to understand his childish behavior.  NO one is beyond learning.  Not even Trump.

I guess I'm talking to a brick wall here.  :banging:

So I've said all I'm going to about this on this thread.

I am not forgetting.

But such is the nature of the Trump Wars.
No matter what is said, or how much thought is put into it, people tend to cubby-hole others into "camps" that can be bundled together, so the sins of the extreme can be laid at anybody's doorstep.  To somebody who "loves" the President, any criticism is the result of "never-Trumpism."    To somebody who "hates" him, any praise of the President is seen as being a mindless cheerleader.

And I, like you, am in the vast region where Trump is neither "loved" nor "hated."  He's just a politician.
