Trump considering quarantine for New York and parts of New Jersey, Connecticut

President Trump on Saturday said that he is considering putting in place an "enforceable quarantine" on travel for New York and parts of New Jersey and Connecticut.

“We’d like to see New York quarantined because it’s a hotspot — New York, New Jersey, maybe one or two other places, certain parts of Connecticut quarantined. I’m thinking about that right now," Trump told reporters before leaving the White House for Joint Base Andrews.

"We might not have to do it but there’s a possibility that sometime today we’ll do a quarantine — short term two weeks for New York, probably New Jersey and parts of Connecticut," he added.


The president was asked about the possibility again when he landed at Andrews before he boarded Air Force One, repeating that it would be for New York and parts of New Jersey and Connecticut.

I don’t think it has anything to do with being scatterbrained. I think he is just used to bouncing ideas off other people and it’s the way he processes solutions to problems.

Yesterday afternoon
I took my car out for a drive because I hadn’t been out of my apartment in 14 days and I was worried about the battery. I didn’t want it not to work. So I’m out, drove a mile, turned around in my supermarket parking lot. It was almost empty. Kid you not.

No one on the road, it looked like some kind of apocalypse movie. On the way back home, I’m seeing cars. A few but coming out of driveways, and all heading to the grocery store.

I get home and hear this on the news. And wouldn’t you know. People who were home and don’t need groceries are all of a sudden running out to the store to get groceries because, hey! I need more toilet paper

Where was I?  I was sitting in my beanbag chair eating Cheetos while petting kitties.  I saved the world!  That and I've been taping time-lapse videos of out excellent sunsets at the Castle and posting a few on Bookface.

The President did exactly as he said he would do,.. providing his decision in the tweet I also posted above.

Just FYI, in Gov. DeWine's presser today, he said he called the President and got a call back because the FDA has delayed approving life saving sterilization of N-95 masks.  Batelle Research Lab in Columbus has developed a system to sanitize 80,000 masks A DAY so that they can be reused by first responders.  There is already one ready to go on Long Island, one in Ohio, one on the way to NYC, and plans to send them to DC and Seattle.  They just need the FDA approval for all 80,000, and the bureaucracy is in the way.

The Governor said that President Trump said, "Let's get on it," and promised approval TODAY.  DeWine said "He gets it."

I have not disapproved of what Trump has done.  I only disapprove of what he keeps saying.

I hope you fans can get the difference here.

He needs to talk less and just keep doing what he's doing to get us through this.

My sister has a "travel letter" given to her by her employer (supermarket) to present in case she is stopped driving to work. This is in SW CT.

Her friend works for Kimberly-Clark (making toilet paper and paper towels).
He has a travel letter from them, too.

The virus is still on the upswing here.
Perhaps the state's governor (the idiot Ned Lamont) has told them that a quarantine remains on the table...?
