Its a miracle.

Back on the dark side, Dr. Zeke Emanuel of Biden's "Covid Task Force" is recommending Americans not be given priority when vaccine distribution begins. So while the rest of the world may end up owing Warp Speed, Trump and the US taxpayer a great big thank you, we American citizens just might be looking at another X months of economic shutdown till we get our herd immunity.

Cut Biden and his globalist masters some slack on this one. After all,'murikan union wurkers demand too much money for doing the same job the Chinese slaves do for basic room and board,so who do YOU to expect them to focus on when it comes to immunizations and cures?

Not that all the Chinese are going to get it,either. There are just too damn many of them to make managing them either easy or economical,so at least half of them are going to have to go once China has conquered all of Asia.

There is absolutely zero journalistic curiosity about why if all of those measures were supposed to "stop the spread" they haven't worked after 9 months of them being in place. They don't break the numbers down and explain things like how hospitals and long term care facilities get extra $$$ for the number of cases they report. How the virus on its own is responsible for only 6% of the total number the talking heads breathlessly report on a daily basis. They squash the stories where cities and states are caught reporting heart attacks deaths from blunt force trauma and motor vehicle accidents as "Covid" deaths. IMHO it's not just about driving viewership and ad revenue, that's certainly some of it on the local level. It's been political and about control from the get go. We're seeing elected officials exercise power they aren't authorized by statute or state constitution to wield...and dare anyone to stop them. And the really tragic part and the thing that should frighten any freedom loving individual is how so many people just complied without even a whimper.

New Mexico governor shuts down grocery stores for two weeks

A dozen grocery stores around the state have been forced to close for two weeks because of a public health order issued by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham at a time when the state’s residents are suffering from record high unemployment and food insecurity, critics say.

The order requires businesses with four or more rapid responses of COVID-19 cases reported within in a 14-day period to close for two weeks.

More than 25 essential businesses were shut down as of Monday afternoon, including a number of grocery stores and major retailers.

The closures include two Walmarts in Albuquerque and one in Santa Fe, an Albertson’s in Roswell, a Smiths Food & Drug Center in Albuquerque and New Mexico Food Distribution Center in Albuquerque.

The article links to a government of NM webpage in which one can find, among others on "watch" status, the stores that are closed. The two times I tried to view the page it tied Chrome in knots, so I can't recommend clicking that link.

Since the terms for being shut down are 4 "positives" within a 2 week time period, regardless of the number of employees, I would think businesses with lots of employees are at greater risk of being shut down. More employees means more chances of 4 getting the virus. That said, a small-medium business that does get shut down will probably be harder hit economically than would Walmart or Albertson's.

I heard on the radio today that there was a study done on the effectiveness of wearing a mask.

People who did not wear mask regularly had a 2% infection rate.
People who did wear mask regularly had a 1.8% infection rate.

Not a lot of difference there.

The only caveat that comes to mind is that people who wear mask frequently, are probably in more high traffic areas than those that don't, thereby increasing their risk to exposure anyway.

Still, if mask worked.............

One of the silliest arguments the "people who love Science the same way OJ loved Nichole Brown" make is, "Masks are not intended to catch the tiny 4nm viruses, they are meant to catch the much larger droplets of spittle the virus hitchhikes on!"

Sounds reasonable until one realizes the water evaporates within minutes of exhalation, and that allows the virus to just blow on through in higher concentrations, along with tiny particles of infected mucous.
