On Tuesday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo appeared to agree with President Donald Trump when he said that restrictions on companies should be loosened to help the economic recovery from the coronavirus.
During the White House press briefing on Monday, President Donald Trump made a similar statement.
“What I’m saying, basically, is that we can do two things simultaneously,†President Trump said, adding “we’ve had this incredible learning period†about the virus that might allow the federal government to review the requirements for social distancing.
During his own press conference on Tuesday, Cuomo made a similar argument.
“Don’t make us choose between the two,†Cuomo said. “We can do both and we must do both.â€
