Fauci said nothing remotely like this to Levin last night. In fact he very clearly said precisely the opposite.

Perhaps he tailors his accounts depending upon whom he's speaking to. Or maybe someone here isn't telling the truth.
@skeeter Are you insinuating that News Entertainer Mark Levin might have tailored his question, or selectively edited the responses to avoid any negative message?  I've heard tell of the sneaky fake news doing that, but certainly a bloviator of Levin's stature wouldn't do it.

I don't remember you from TOS, but some here say you weren't always this way.

Mind me asking you what happened?

Thank you for asking @skeeter In 1988 I was fairly fresh out of high school, with a mindset that the world owed me a job, then I found Rush Limbaugh and began watching politics and voting GOP.  In 1994 I joined my Wisconsin state Republican party where I worked in the fundraising dept for almost 8 years.  I was at TOS from 1999 (2000?) until 2012. I befriended conservatives like  jveritas; PRND21; COEXERJ145; ClintonBeGone; Dane; Cultural Jihad; Ben Ficklin; nopardons; Gipper08; neverdem; onyx; Howlin; Poohbah; MNJohnny; and @mystery-ak who invited me to GOPachy in 2008 and GOPbriefingroom in 2012.

GOP Wages War Against Its Conservatives

Reagan certainly never surrendered his principles before the battle was even joined, a favorite tactic of 'practical' republicans.

Reagan campaigned on a platform of balancing the budget and cutting government spending, but he also wanted increased military spending and taxcuts. Reagan comprimised to get what he wanted. This is not a slam on Reagan. It is smart politics. In order to pass legislation you need 60 votes in the Senate just to release a bill from cloture. Reagan never had 60 hard core conservatives in the Senate. He had 35 - 40 solid conservative Republicans and 20-25 RINOs and DINOs that were willing to give something if Reagan would give something.

Politics is by its very nature a tradeoff and those who refuse to trade get nothing, and most often get screwed. I present Patrick J Buchanan as proof. 1992's hero of the far right and harbinger anti-Christ to the beast Clinton.

After re-reading my posts to you, I am sure we can agree I'm still an @sshole but no longer a GOP flag waver.

After 12 years of supporting the GOP candidates Bush, McCain, and Romney zealously at FR, it was only a matter of time until I was permanently banned for not joining FR cannibals in their destructive feast of the GOP.  here is my post history http://www.freerepublic.com/tag/by:onceler/index?tab=comments;brevity=full;options=no-change (it goes back to 06 2002.)  I settled in here and life was good until in 2016 when the GOP nominated President Trump and my last official vote was for Sen Ted Cruz in the Wisconsin presidential primary.

I would like Ian Somerhalder to play me in the movie of my life.

Thanks for your reply. I didn't mean to imply that you weren't a member of TOS, I have no reason to doubt you were. I only mention it because I have no way to determine whether you have indeed 'evolved' as I've heard mentioned.

And I understand why you become disenchanted with the GOP. Most of us have. I just don't understand why you behave the way you do here, constantly tweaking others with whom you presumably used to have more in common.

BTW PRND1 was an arsehole.

And so was Howlin!
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

It takes two to argue and it takes two to agree.

Trump continues to be his own worst enemy because he says whatever pops into his head instead of what’s always factually accurate.
I know he’ll never learn to be more judicious, but it would certainly help him if he could.
---------------------------
Indeed.
Learning requires a price, namely discipline which Trump has never paid.
As a consequence he is scatterbrained every time he opens his mouth.
