On a positive note, all those GM Ventilators are apparently holding up, unlike their cars.

Those don't exist, because Trump did nothing. :sarc:

This didn't happen:

March 27, 2020 - Trump signed a Defense Production Act order to General Motors to make ventilators; https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/27/trump-orders-general-motors-to-make-ventilators-under-defense-production-act.html

April 14, 2020 - GM began mass production on an order of 30,000 Ventec ventilators, 600 ventilators to be shipped this month, the full order to be completed by August; https://www.autoweek.com/news/industry-news/a32169651/gm-starts-ventilator-production-in-under-a-month/

Nor this:

March 30, 2020 - Ford Motor Company committed to producing 50,000 ventilators in the next 100 days; https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/30/ford-ge-plan-to-produce-50000-ventilators-in-100-days.html

If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Go to the website of the Texas Dept of Health Services if you doubt the statistics in this chart.

Updated as of 7-20-20

The CDC recently revised its death rate estimate down to just 0.4 percent.

One percent of counties in the country account for nearly half of all Covid-19 deaths nationally.

Ten percent of counties account for nearly 90 percent of all deaths.

Roughly 30 percent of the counties in the country haven’t experienced a single coronavirus death.

Nearly half of all coronavirus deaths have come in nursing homes.

In many states, nursing homes and assisted living facilities account for far more than half of all deaths—around 80 percent in Minnesota and around 70 percent in Ohio.

More than 80 percent of all Covid-19 deaths are among those over 65 years old.

Those aged under 55 account for just eight percent of all Covid-19 deaths.

If you are 34 years old or younger, your probability of dying from Covid-19 as of June 3rd was 0.0005 percent.

The overwhelming majority of deaths are among those with at least one other underlying medical condition. For six percent of the deaths, Covid-19 was the only cause mentioned.

Most ICU admissions—in some cases 75 percent or more—aren’t Covid-related.

The resumption of elective—yet vital—surgeries is contributing to increased ICU-utilization rates around the country.

More children die each year from the flu than Covid-19.

Children rarely display serious symptoms from Covid-19 or infect others. Some scientists believe children are a “brake” on transmissions.

After European schools reopened, there was no observable increase in Covid-19 cases.

The American Association of Pediatrics and the National Academy of Sciences conclude that children can safely return to school.

Texas Coronavirus Update: Over 229,000 Estimated Recoveries, 32 Percent Increase

Texas Scorecard by Robert Montoya July 27, 2020

https://texasscorecard.com/state/texas-coronavirus-update-over-229000-estimated-recoveries-32-percent-increase/

Quote
Tragically, 5,038 have died from the Chinese coronavirus.

The latest data show recoveries from the Chinese coronavirus continue to soar statewide, while 5,038 of the state’s 29 million Texans have died from the virus. Using metrics from the county’s Health and Human Services Director, Texas Scorecard estimates Dallas County has the highest number of recoveries statewide.

As of Monday, recoveries continue rising and deaths are low in Texas’ urban counties.

•   Bexar County reported 21,505 estimated recoveries and 323 deaths among its population of over 2 million.

•   Collin County reported 4,597 recoveries and 74 deaths among its population of over 1 million.

•   Denton County reported 3,309 recoveries and 49 deaths among its population of nearly 860,000.

•   Harris County reported 21,485 recoveries and 644 deaths among its population of over 4.6 million.

•   Tarrant County reported 12,549 recoveries and 348 deaths among its population of over 2 million.

•   Travis County reported 16,658 estimated recoveries and 241 deaths among its population of over 1.2 million.

Data from Bexar, Denton, Tarrant, and Travis counties continue to confirm Tarrant Public Health Director Dr. Vinny Taneja’s report that those over 65 and those with underlying conditions are at “high risk.”

Statewide, it is estimated that 229,107 Texans have recovered from the virus, compared with 5,038 deaths.

My numbers are from the state and yours are from the county. You would think that the hospitals would report the same data to both.

On this page, keep reading the whole page and find new numbers in Dallas County and Tarrant County.  Texas is second to get these meds and vaccines - Illinois is first to get these.  The process is already set up in Texas to distribute these meds/vaccines.

Drive about 7 miles from our house (in Denton County) and we are in Tarrant County; our church is in Tarrant County.  I used to check Tarrant County numbers every day then did not keep it up, so I was surprised at the higher numbers now in Tarrant County.

I've eaten at the one on 59 near Kirkwood, and I've eaten at one near Pearland.  Both are excellent.  They have soft-serve ice cream available as you are heading out the door.

I am not a fan of Houston to put it mildly, but the city does have great food.

Yes, several times.
Kirkwood and 59 (technically Stafford, not Sugar Land).
Could even be the Meadows (Meadows Place, officially now)?
But, yes, and I follow the owner, Russell Ybarra, on twitter.
He owns Floyds seafood also, and opened a burger place in Pasadena.
I can't remember the name of the burger place.

Way back when we used to live in Pearland, we had a Gringos.  Same company?  They were good, and had the best Tomatilla salsa ever.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.
