The China coronavirus epidemic is a shitshow. Millions of people are locked down prior to the Lunar New Year celebrations when everyone travels to their homes. City after city is being quarantined.

Chinese officials are claiming it’s all under control but Facebook posts and Tweets suggest the exact opposite. I have rounded up a few for you.

And we’re guessing that the disgusting habit of eating bat soup and live mice isn’t helping. We’ve even heard that snakes may be the species that finally gave us human to human transmission. In other reports, not yet confirmed, the Chinese are suggesting that spit from an infected person that gets in your eye can lead to infection.

Like chickens don't harbor salmonella? And salt and fresh water fish don't have parasites? Nor pigs?

I don't know how long the Chinese have been eating all these weird things, but if I had lived in China during Mao's reign and lived among the millions of average Chinese who starved to death during that time, I'd probably eat anything that moved. You would too if you were starving.
But the Chinese are doing a lot better now than during Mao's time.
There's no need to eat that garbage anymore.
If for no other reason, you'd think the Chinese gov. would ban eating those nasty foods simply for tourism reasons. Nobody is going to take a vacation in China if the Chinese don't stop hollering racism and clean up their act. China will lose billions in tourist money.

Cooked or frozen.
There is no such thing as fresh sushi.
The fish is thoroughly frozen for a time to kill any parasites.
The fish is then thawed and prepared into sushi.

I want to know just how hungry or brave or without a source of fire, the very first person had to have been to eat a raw oyster. Don’t get me wrong, I love a fresh shucked raw oyster with a dash of hot sauce is great but it is kinda gross (and possibly alive).

I would dare say that I have eaten things that would likewise compare... To include plenty in the rodent and weasel family... Roadkill... Marten, fisher, otter, possum, coon, porcupine... Muskrat, packrat... Coyote... If it walks in these woods, I have ate it.

My point being... 'weird' is a subjective term.  :laugh:

There were some Chinese so hungry they actually ate a certain kind of dirt. The dirt/mud clogged up their intestines and digestive tract. Many of them died from that rather than starvation.
The wonders of socialism/communism.
