Because most of the people usually vote for the one they voted for before.  If her district is broken apart, her past voters will be a minority.  As long as she is combined into a district with an incumbent running, she will be at a disadvantage.

AOC won in a very low turnout in the Primary Election when she ran, with only 4,100 votes over her opponent, an incumbent.  The incumbent then ran against her in the General Election, and he got clobbered. 

But her actions representing her district has created a huge amount of resentment.  Her efforts to stop Amazon from moving in would definitely disenchant many of her constituents.  But her efforts to stand up against other Dems with the intent to have them removed is what killed her future in her district. Her district will go away, and I do not see her challenging an incumbent in another district.  You can count on the Dems merging her district with one with a well entrenched incumbent.   She will be done as a rep.

As I indicated, I see her taking on Schumer.  And frankly, I do not see the attraction of Schumer.  He is an old bag of wind, and I see her getting folks fired up to turn away from him.  His endless decrying of Trump is getting old, and downright boring.

Schumer talking about Trump being caught flat footed on the corona virus is just one example of the smack this fool mutters.  She will walk all over this idiot.  If ever there was an overrated senator, it is Schumer the Smuck!

Most House districts have around 750,000 to 800,000 residents.

AOC received a little over 100,000 votes in 2018.  In a district that was re-drawn to include around a 75% Black/Hispanic majority with over 50% not being native-born American citizens.
 
It would only take ONE community member with longstanding bona fides in that next primary to take her out.   AOC's funding comes from Soros-related institutions and rich Lefty ideologues on the Coasts.   She knows NOTHING about the Bronx/Queens citizens she represents.

For some reason or reasons I don't understand,there seem to be a lot of self-hating Jews. That doesn't keep most of them from supporting Israel when push comes to shove,though.
