Mike Pence’s 2024 Presidential Campaign Has Already Begun

Bloomberg) -- President Donald Trump’s bid for a second term in office is giving Vice President Mike Pence an early edge in the race that’s already shaping up for the Republican nomination in 2024.

Pence has lately been a mainstay at Trump’s signature campaign rallies, seldom missing the opportunity to introduce the president while test-driving a few crowd-pleasing lines of his own. The vice president has his own political action committee and has been steadily expanding his travel as a surrogate for Trump, with a particular focus on Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

He’s scheduled to embark on a bus tour through Michigan on Tuesday without the president, who’s in India. It will include a speech to supporters in a hotel ballroom -- a sort of mini-rally

I like Mike Pence.  When Trump picked him as his VP, all of my conservative friends came back with   BORING.  Now admittedly, I did not know much about him.  In listening to him, I liked him, and thought Trump made an excellent selection.

I have never heard Pence utter one thing I did not agree with 100%.  He is my candidate for 2024.

Agree PENCE is a RINO establishment stooge. But other than DON JR we will get a politician and that is the problem. Ted Cruz would be the natural choice for nominee; however, the DEMS hate him almost as much as Trump.

As for Pence being the natural choice --- Trump just did him a disservice by appointing him to take on the coronavirus.

Ted Cruz is the obvious choice.  He was second to Trump in 2016 and has been a staunch supporter and defender of Donald Trump.

Ted is brilliant, a core conservative, attractive and fun.  Pence is a nice guy, but Ted's the one.

What's wrong with boring? Granted,it took a personality like Trump to shake things up and get them flowing in the right direction,but after a second Trump term I suspect a boring,but actual conservative,like Pence will be just what the doctor ordered for most voters. If he ever needs to shake anything up on the campaign trail,he can always call on Trump to give a speech somewhere.

With any luck at all a 1,2 punch like that would make even more Dims suicidal,thus making America Great Again.

Whoever decides to step into the breach they will be attacked mercilessly by the media wing of the democrat party.

Just musing here but Donald Trump and family may be the most thoroughly investigated family ever in American politics. That would make Don Trump Jr sort of a pre-screened candidate, making opposition research in him a likely dry hole.

The only way then to smear him would be to make shit up, or maybe set up some phony entrapment play. Either way, it would be more of the same ‘son of orange man bad’. But, by then the public will have been so conditioned by fake news, they’ll ignore the noise as nothing more than partisan politics.

And I would gladly welcome one of Trump's sons running too.  I think his sons are very impressive.

Sen Cruz will definitely run, and perhaps Jeb will give it another try.  I also expect Rubio and Kasich to give it serious consideration too.

I have liberal friends, who told me during the impeachment farce that they would be ok with Pence as president if Trump had been booted from the White House, although I expect they meant temporarily -- until a Dem wins the White House in November. 

But I do think Pence is tolerable to the less radical wing of the Democrat party.  Sadly, though the party is being taken over by the leftist radicals and those who are more even handed will ultimately be looking for another party to represent them.  Just like true conservatives in the Republican party.

I'm one of those who says "Oh.  Hell.  No." to another Trump in the White House and no, it's not because of my alleged "hatred" for the old man. We had two Bushes as president, a third one ran in 2016 and more recently, I heard about one of the grandkids, Pierce Bush, running for congress and already touted as a future presidential candidate.   Um... no.  No royal families.  No dynasties.  Get someone else.

Kasich and Rubio are RINO's with Kasich being an absolute buffoon. Each of them are despicable for different reasons. Rubio couldn't even win his home state and yet stayed in the race for a bit afterwards.  Why?

I don't see Jeb trying again, he made an absolute fool out of himself the first time around.

Whether or not Cruz will run again is debatable, it really depends on if he wants to deal with all the mud slinging from the left.  He has a clean record so, it would be a matter of dealing with false accusations.

That's what I thought as well. If this  turns out to be a nothing in the US...it will help him. If it turns out to be huge...it is hung on his neck.
