MSNBC's Chris Matthews is under fire after comparing Sen. Bernie Sanders's (I-Vt.) decisive win in the Nevada caucuses to the Nazi invasion of France in 1940, with some on social media calling for the "Hardball" host to resign.

"I was reading last night about the fall of France in the summer of 1940," Matthews said during MSNBC's live coverage of the caucuses on Saturday. "And the general, Reynaud, calls up Churchill and says, 'It's over.' And Churchill says, 'How can that be? You've got the greatest army in Europe. How can it be over?' He said, 'It's over.'"

I think his Nazi comparison was a little over the top but calling for his resignation?

How ironic is this? Chrissy is getting slammed for being right for a change.

I am coming around to seeing that the nomination of "Da Burn" as the Dim nominee might end up being the best thing that has happened to this country politically since the elections of Reagan,and then Trump because it will expose the hypocrisy of the Dim leadership in ways that can't be  hidden.

It will also pretty much guarantee that Trump gets re-elected.

All true. Biden would be the same ol' same ol' and the status quo would be maintained.
Bernie highlights to all the 'good old boys' who still vote Democrat because their fathers always voted Democrat that things are different. The New Democrat Party is full blown Socialist for now, and full blown Communist in the future. Bernie will end the Democrat Party as it has been in our lifetime. He will create a new political Party. One that replaces Democrats with Socialists.

This will alienate a significant percentage of the Democrat base, especially older Democrats who still remember when Democrats once were patriotic Americans.

Matthews himself didn't use the term Nazi as far as I can see. The German army did crush the French much as Sanders squashed his opponents. Making that out to be calling Sanders a Nazi is a stretch, though not surprising.
