Original Post: As political tensions rise throughout the country, here locally the Humboldt County Republican headquarters had its front windows and glass door smashed and an unknown liquid poured throughout the entryway at around 5 this morning. John Schutt has been the Republican Party chairman for Humboldt County for the last three and a half years and told the Outpost that he received a phone call from the alarm company earlier this morning.

“This is the sixth time this has happened to us in the last two years,” Schutt said.

There's much more in the article, including that the perp apparently was caught on-site. IF the guy committed all 6 vandalisms, I'm a bit underwhelmed that he was finally caught. I wonder, too, how vigorously the daily phone threats are investigated.

 Bernie Sanders supporter released on bail after trying to burn down Republican office

A supporter of Bernie Sanders has attempted to burn down a GOP office in Eureka , California, according to the local ABC affiliate.

The Bernie supporter was arrested on a series of charges. He served just one day in jail before he was released back into the public on bail.

On February 8, in the early hours of the morning, police officers responded to a call about a man smashing windows. When the police arrived, they found the man on the Boardwalk. After this, however, he quickly fled on his bicycle which was plastered in Bernie stickers.

Ummmmmmm .... I'm pretty sure that the USC requires release on reasonable bail unless the person is an extreme flight risk or risk to the community. Don't like it? Amend the Constitution.
