Senate votes to rein in Trump's power to attack Iran
By Jordain Carney - 02/13/20 02:10 PM EST

The Senate voted on Thursday to rein in President Trump's ability to take military action against Iran, paving the way for a veto showdown with the White House.

Senators voted 55-45 on the resolution, spearheaded by Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), that would require Trump to pull any U.S. troops from military hostilities against Iran within 30 day unless he gets congressional approval.

The rebuke comes just a week after senators voted to acquit Trump in his impeachment trial.

GOP senators who supported the resolution argued it was about clawing back some of the war making authority Congress has ceded to the executive branch in recent decades, and not a personal slight directed at Trump.

I'd like to see the President use one of Pelosi's impeachment pens to veto this.

It's a resolution without any force of law.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

    That would be pretty funny.   I nominate you, RIV, as one of his trolling consultants.

What a dishonest title and report.

When "The Hill" fired John Solomon they descended into the "online media" stinkhole along-side Politico, Vox, Yahoo!, Mediate, Salon, Slate, Business Insider,  Drudge, Al jazeera/YoungTurks, blah blah blah, yada yada yada and ad infinitum.com.

What a dishonest title and report.

Unfortunately, that is the state of headlines all over these days.

The globalists in the Congress want a war with Iran, and they constitute the majority in both houses.

I do not believe Trump has done anything to provoke a war, but he does not take crap like the weak sister apologist Obama either.

Congress is undermining the security of the USA and in fact stimulating Iran to become more aggressive, which they will do.  Unfortunately, both houses of our do nothing but self serving acts Congress refuse to support our president.  Amazing he hasn't grown tired of these fools.
