John Kelly Finally Lets Loose on Trump
The former chief of staff explained, in the clearest terms yet, his misgivings about Trump’s behavior regarding North Korea, immigration, and Ukraine.
Peter Nicholas

MORRISTOWN, N.J.—Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, the former National Security Council aide and impeachment witness President Donald Trump fired Friday, was just doing his job, former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly told students and guests at a Drew University event here Wednesday night.

Over a 75-minute speech and Q&A session, Kelly laid out, in the clearest terms yet, his misgivings about Trump’s words and actions regarding North Korea, illegal immigration, military discipline, Ukraine, and the news media.

Kelly, a retired Marine Corps general, said that Vindman is blameless and was simply followed the training he’d received as a soldier; migrants are “overwhelmingly good people” and “not all rapists”; and Trump’s decision to condition military aid to Ukraine on an investigation into his political rival Joe Biden upended long-standing U.S. policy.

Another arrow comes in, I already read some people calling this the deep state responding.  Seems to be a big story, seems to belong more in the "impeachment 45" thread. At Drew University, must be a prestigious college. Still, an interesting article.

"Kelly, a retired Marine Corps general, said that Vindman is blameless and was simply followed the training he’d received as a soldier; migrants are “overwhelmingly good people” and “not all rapists” (false statement, Trump never said that); and Trump’s decision to condition military aid to Ukraine (false statement, Trump instructed to the contrary) on an investigation into his political rival Joe Biden upended long-standing U.S. policy."

Trump is well rid of this liar.

What this does spell out is Trump's utter failure to select military brass for key positions in his administration.  I find his comments on Vindman unacceptable.  I am talking about Kelly.  Just one more military smuck, I don't care how much salad he has on his chest, or how much of a hero he ever was.

To speak out against the president as he has done is unacceptable, particularly in defense of a maggot like Vindman.

Hasn't Kelly been sniping at Trump ever since he left the WH? Does "Finally Lets Loose" mean Kelly's mouth is on full automatic now?

I'm wondering about that nondisclosure agreement he undoubtedly signed when he left.

Maybe he has a new boss now.

"In July 2019, the House Oversight Committee announced it was probing Kelly's conflict of interest (DC Capital Partners) in the (border detention) camps while he was the White House Chief of Staff."

I have to agree with Kelly there.   To be an informed citizen... you have to know about all of the lies and propaganda that is being pushed by the radical left via their puppet media.   You need to watch CNN, PBS, NBC, etc., as well, in order to know about all of those lies...

since Fox News can't be counted on to report it.   Fox News is also run by lefties, IOW.

And an 'informed citizen' is one that is wise enough to discern those lies whenever they hear/see them.

Now, now.   :nono:  There's no need to point fingers. We all believed General Kelly stood tall among the best of men.

How were any of us to know the path General John Kelly would take to supplement his retirement income in a personal struggle to keep himself in the millionaires club?

Kudos to the General for striking while the monetary iron is hot and proving honesty, fidelity and honor are absent from his worldview.

We should be thanking the good General for clearing up our misguided opinion of him.  I know I am.   :patriot:

He is right.  Its only a mouthpiece for president Trump.  I read that Trump consults people at FOX.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

What a steaming pile of BS.  Sooner or later it will become too difficult to run cover up for Trump.  I am hoping that the Republican party regains their composure and recognizes the danger our party is in.

Well exactly.  They have been pushing left for a long time.  And that is why we have the trouble.  All of Trumps leftist friends and his big messes he leaves everywhere.

Honor?  How can you honor something unhonorable?  BS.  I guess you think that Trump could do anything and everyone should run cover up.

Alan Dershowitz, Manafort...………..
Family

Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump....

I am sure I can cover much more.  Give me time.

That's funny (odd)... since I haven't seen Trump defending Dershowitz as his "friend".  Perhaps I missed it.   Could you point me to that, please?  I also see no evidence that Trump considers Dershowitz as a friend.  However, I do question Dershowitz's "leftism" since he has, in fact, defended Trump.  So....link?

I also wasn't aware that Paul Manafort was a leftist.  One thing I do know... is that leftists do not EVER donate to Republicans.... like Trump, for instance.  So that would be a definite no on Manafort.

https://www.campaignmoney.com/finance.asp?type=in&cycle=16&criteria=manafort&fname=paul

As for Trump's family, we all know they were and perhaps still are registered Democrats.   But I wouldn't call them leftists... now.   I think the election of Trump as president may have cured any 'morph to leftism' they may have previously been trending toward.

So offhand, I'd have to call bullshit on your claim here... unless you can provide proof otherwise.

Waiting....
