2020 Election Polling
« on: February 11, 2020, 12:15:29 pm »
Polls, we can see how much they mean. Feel free to post polls in the main area too.

From last Summer:

How much do polls showing Dems trouncing Trump really mean?

The media, which are always enamored of polls, are really loving them right now.

That's because they show President Trump getting his butt kicked.

And while the latest numbers certainly aren't good for the president, I'm going to flash a giant yellow warning light here.

Quinnipiac: Nearly Half of Biden’s African-American Supporters Have Abandoned Him | National Review
By John McCormack

February 10, 2020 2:57 PM
A new national Quinnipiac poll shows Bernie Sanders jumping out to his biggest lead in any national poll of the Democratic primary:

    Sanders 25

    Biden 17

    Bloomberg 15

    Warren 15

    Buttigieg 10

    Klobuchar 4

Just before the Iowa caucuses, the topline numbers in Quinnipiac’s late-January national poll were:

    Biden 26

    Sanders 21

    Warren 15

    Bloomberg 8

    Klobuchar 7

    Buttigieg 6

So, Pete is weak in this last poll, nationally speaking. He might really get routed in some places and no, I don't think he was really doing remarkable in Iowa, that primary can not be trusted.

When will they ever learn... Polls will give you a predetermined conclusion... not worth the time and paper is takes to produce them

The final polls in Iowa were way off, not to mention up to this point they have been all over the map.

Whatever the pollsters are doing, it's wrong.
The Republic is lost.

They are talking about this now on Newsmax... I thought, could we see a Bernie-Pete ticket? Coalition?

Bernie was in the hospital not long ago so, conceivably, the young guy, Pete could be called into action to the executive office, God-forbid, if something happened to Bernie. I happened to be thinking of this earlier but things can change all around come the next primaries. Still, I think a ticket like that could be attractive to some.

Quarterly polling by Republican-founded Firehouse Strategies and 0ptimus finds that President Trump’s lead dropped considerably against both Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders since December in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

President Trump's job approval rating has slipped 6 points in the past month and now sits at 43 percent as his administration handles the fallout from the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, according to a new Gallup survey.

The survey, released on Thursday, found that 43 percent of American adults approve of the way Trump is handling his job as president, while 54 percent say they disapprove. The findings represent a significant drop from a March 24 Gallup poll that found Trump's approval rating had climbed to 49 percent, which matched a personal best for his presidency.

6 points, 1 month, and 36k dead American's later things are not looking good for President Trump...only 200 day until elections.
