Imagine you are from a prominent political family and wanted desperately to become President most of your life. You finally have that opportunity and actually turn in what was considered to be perhaps the best presidential debate performance of all time. And then, like an idiot, you listen to your advisers and go easy on the incumbent who takes full advantage of your lapse in the next two debates. As a result you have LOST what should have been a winnable election.Such was the situation of Mitt Romney. So in the next election, a man he snobbishly considers beneath him and about whom all the pundits say has NO PATH to 270 electoral votes performs what he couldn't do and miraculously wins the election.Romney's rage was overwhelming but a few years later he had an opportunity to strike back in the form of voting to remove President Trump from office over a couple of pathetic impeachment charges. But how to be the ONLY Republican to vote to remove from office without looking like you are stooping to a vengeful act of jealous rage?The answer was simple. Pander to the liberals by cloaking yourself in religion and making your vote look like an act of moral courage rather than a petty act of extreme jealousy which is what it really was.This is how we now have the laughable spectacle of liberals suddenly getting religion and worshiping their new Romney God whom they cursed just eight years ago.
I could never understand Romney's campaign. He was clearly dominant in the first debate and then totally laid down for Obama. So, you think it was advisers that convinced him not to be MEAN to first black president? Bad advice and dumb to take it.
