Pelosi trashes Trump address: 'He shredded the truth, so I shredded his speech'

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday trashed President Trump’s raucous State of the Union address while huddling with rank-and-file Democrats, and explained why she dramatically ripped up his speech as he wrapped up his remarks.

“He shredded the truth so I shredded his speech,” Pelosi told House Democrats during a closed-door caucus meeting, according to sources in the room. Like she did the night before, she called his 90-minute address “a manifesto of mistruths."

“You are supposed to talk about the State of the Union,” Pelosi continued, “not the State of your alleged mind.”

Trump, Pelosi said, “disrespected” the House chamber and used it as a “backdrop for a reality show… to give a speech that had no connection with reality.”

Much has been written and spoken about Trump’s over reaction to things he doesn’t like to hear, and some of his personal character flaws and many of them I do agree with. But much of his opposition doesn’t win any prizes either

Saw a video on Fox today (yeah, I'm watching them intermittantly, so what)..... that clearly showed that Trump had already started turning away and therefore did NOT snub Pelosi's quickly extended (and quickly withdrawn) hand.   Yet there Sandra Smith was.... lying about it.    This is the kind of untruths that will sink Fox eventually.... just like all the other leftist-biased lying networks that are in bed with the Commiecrats.

Personally, I saw what I thought was a snub last night and in watching different clips, I believe she in fact did extend her hand and he saw it and snubbed her.  Why didn't Pence offer his handshake to Trump?

But, why would he shake her hand??  Seriously -- she drew up articles of impeachment against him. Did she really expect that he would shake her hand?  Knowing Nancy this was probably a calculated move on her part -- show up and offer a handshake for all to see knowing that more than likely he wouldn't reciprocate and she would have an excuse to act as disrespectfully and childish as she did.

She made a small "pilot tear" of every page one at a time.  There's video proof on another thread somewhere.  She was going to tear up the speech from the very beginning.
