My neighbor had a wood boat, well, more of a tug, that he used to clear log jams along the Mississippi River. After breakfast one morning he stuck his finger into the bilge before starting the engine and it came up all gasoline. He used a 55 gal oil drum for a tank and he lost a good percentage of it into the bilge where a steel gas line rusted out where it went thru a rib. He fixed the gas line, scooped out the gas back into the oil drum, chammied out the water and was back to work.
