People are traveling hundreds of miles to see Trump in Wildwood

David Neild is no stranger to New Jersey. Neild grew up in Camden County, met his wife, and moved to Cumberland County, where he lived until he moved to the Smokey Mountains region of North Carolina, in 2018. When he heard President Donald Trump was bringing his “Keep America Great Rally” to the Wildwoods Convention Center on Tuesday, Neild decided he wanted to make the 10-hour drive to his old state to see the President.

Neild and thousands of others will be heading to Wildwood for the Jan. 28 presidential campaign rally that will see President Trump, Jeff Van Drew (R-2nd Congressional District), and others speak, aimed at galvanizing the Republican base not only in the southern New Jersey area but in surrounding states.

While early estimates said up to 40,000 would be attending, Van Drew said Sunday 100,000 tickets had been requested, however that figure can’t be independently verified. A Trump campaign spokeswoman told NJ Advance Media that it doesn’t comment on ticket numbers.

Trump’s Wildwood rally wouldn’t have happened without this guy’s vote on impeachment
By Jonathan D. Salant | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com

WASHINGTON — There’s little doubt President Donald Trump will talk about impeachment at Tuesday night’s Wildwood rally as his lawyers are in Washington telling the Senate why he shouldn’t be removed from office.

In fact, there would be no Wildwood rally at all without impeachment — and a stunning move by a New Jersey congressman.

Joining Trump on board Air Force One will be New Jersey Rep. Jeff Van Drew, who famously refused to vote for impeachment as a Democrat and then switched parties and declared his “undying support" for the president.

Van Drew is the Democrat that didn't vote for impeachment. He is going to run against two other Republicans.  But Trump is getting behind the Democrat.

The 2nd District includes all or parts of eight counties and stretches from the Jersey Shore to the Delaware River. While New Jersey’s more affluent districts in the north have turned against Trump, much of the 2nd has embraced him. Trump carried the district in 2016, even though former President Barack Obama won it in 2008 and 2012.
“I understand the decision of the president“ to openly support Van Drew, Richter said. “It benefited the president during impeachment week when he needed a positive story, and a Democrat flipping to the Republican Party over impeachment is a good story. The problem is the narrative isn’t accurate. Van Drew switched parties because he was going to lose, and this is an attempt to save his own job.”
Also running for the GOP nomination are Brian Fitzherbert, a defense contractor, and Bob Patterson, a former Trump administration Social Security aide who edited a conservative academic journal.

Hmm.  Love the picture.  That's a liberal if I have ever seen one.

AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

I heard there were 150 thousand requests for tickets at a venue that holds only 7,500 seats!
