LIVE THREAD: Impeachment Trial Day 3

The Senate on Thursday afternoon will continue the impeachment trial of President Trump.

House Democrats are poised to dig deeper into their impeachment case, focusing on the charge that Trump abused his power in office.

Democrats on Wednesday spent more than eight hours arguing that Trump should be removed from office over charges that he sought to recruit a foreign power to interfere in the 2020 election.

The trial is set to continue at 1 p.m. EST.

Hmmm.  Certainly possible, and it would be another explanation for why Obama has never given Biden more than very tepid support for President.  Maybe he knew what was out there....

Schiff starting out by thanking senators again. He notes the sergeant at arms tells them they go to prison if they talk.

He says he hopes they "don't choose imprisonment instead of anything further."
