Trump to attend March for Life rally
By Brett Samuels - 01/22/20 05:50 PM EST

President Trump on Friday will become the first president to attend in-person the March for Life.

Trump quote-tweeted a video of last year's pro-life event, adding "See you on Friday...Big Crowd!"

The president addressed the gathering in 2018 via video stream, and Vice President Pence attended in 2019.

Everytime he does something big like this I regret not voting for him the first time around.

There is nothing as important as protecting the most defenseless.

Way to go President Trump!

Trump Proclaims ‘National Sanctity of Human Life Day’

President Donald Trump declared January 22, 2020, “National Sanctity of Human Life Day,” a day when the nation “proudly and strongly reaffirms our commitment to protect the precious gift of life at every stage, from conception to natural death.”

Yes, I agree.

Washington Examiner  by Kimberly Leonard January 22, 2020

President Trump will deliver an in-person speech on Friday at the March for Life, an annual rally held in Washington protesting the legalization of abortion.

Trump will be the first president in history to appear at the march, one of the highest-profile events of the anti-abortion movement. March for Life is in its 47th year, having taken place every year since the passage of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide.

Last year, Vice President Mike Pence made a surprise appearance at the march before roughly 100,000 attendees. The president also gave a message of support for the cause to attendees through a live video.

Every time I think he has gone as far as he can, he steps up his game.
I did not vote for him in the last election, but I will be in the next.

I applaud Trump standing up for those that are least capable of defending themselves.  I consider abortion murder.

If Trump can appoint one more justice to the Supreme Court, Roe vs Wade can be overturned.  I do not trust Roberts, so the court is one vote shy today.

Yes, I agree.

As do I.

This is a great event which I watch all day long on EWTN.

Glad Trump is going.
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

My guess is that it's deliberate.

For 40 years, I have watched Republican presidents stay away from the March for Life, phoning it in — literally. And Trump is going to go stand with them. I say to my Left-oriented friends in particular: This is huge, for pro-lifers (who include me). A big, meaningful event.
