(CNSNews.com) – The Senate impeachment trial cannot be confused with due process, because due process is designed to protect the accused, President Donald Trump’s personal attorney and a member of his impeachment defense team, Jay Sekulow argued Tuesday during the Senate impeachment trial.

The president has been denied the right to cross-examine witnesses, the right to access evidence, and the right to have counsel present at the impeachment hearings, he said.
