In a significant change that was just made to the McConnell resolution, there are now 3 days of opening arguments over 24 hours. The initial language had just two days. GOP aides confirm they made the change.

Three days of opening "arguments"?   You mean three days of leftist grandstanding, filabustering and marathon DemocRat BSing.  More waste of time AND taxpayer money.   Nothing new, though.  I have no high expectations from Mitch and the usual suspect RINOs.

That aside, there should be an amendment added that you cannot impeach a sitting POTUS in a Presidential Election Year.

This entire GD thing is their 2020 platform.  And I still think the mainstream and social media, in bed with the Left, are extremely dangerous here.

It boggles my mind that Pelosi thinks Adam Schiff is the best person to carry the case. He completely turns off Middle America, and is seen as not a straight shooter. She should have chosen a rising star, moderate, smart, and eloquent.

Schiff is smartly referring to the evidence the R's won't allow. He is essentially reading the evidence into the record. BTW, his demeanor is very good to appeal to the so-called moderate R's

House Dems corruptly rigged ENTIRETY of their impeachment inquiry:

-Blocked ALL GOP witnesses not also on Dem list

-Blocked POTUS’ counsel from ALL closed door depos & public Intel hearings

-Cherry picked leaks, withheld key facts & outright lied during/after depos

Expecially considering not one Republican supported it in the House.   And yeah, it is their ONLY strategy for defeating Trump in November.   They must know, somehow, that their candidates suck eggs.  Rotten ones.    And they simply can't win against this roaring economy.   It's laughable that they, with their "free everything" except to taxpayers and the rich, are even trying.

House Dems knew in advance that they did not have the votes in the Senate to remove. Knew effort was preordained to fail.

Crying "Fair trial!!!" despite the cavernous differences between a judicial branch and an impeachment trials, is their way of saying "not our fault!"

Schiff is claiming the Senate must call "important witnesses" instead of "kicking the can down the road" on calling witnesses and yet, if the witnesses were so important, he could have called them. He refused.

He kicked the can down the road to the Senate by not calling them.

In 1999, the Senate unanimously agreed on a basic trial structure that was fair to all parties. Today, we must rise to the occasion and preserve that bipartisan precedent. Our resolution sets up the same basic steps. Fair is fair.
