House managers accuse McConnell of setting up 'rigged' trial
By Olivia Beavers - 01/21/20 08:44 AM EST

The team of House Democrats arguing their case for impeachment in the Senate are slamming the trial resolution put forward by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), describing the compressed schedule put forward as an attempt to cover-up President Trump's conduct.

The resolution, circulated by McConnell on Monday night, would give the House Democrats 24 hours over the course of two days to make their opening arguments to impeach and remove Trump from office over his contacts with Ukraine. The same time constraints would be placed on the White House team defending Trump.

“A White House-driven and rigged process, with a truncated schedule designed to go late into the night and further conceal the President’s misconduct, is not what the American people expect or deserve," the impeachment managers wrote in a statement.

24 hours is "truncated"? They have their case all prepared for them by Schifftyroo and had a month to work up presenting it. Or are all these protestations tacit acknowledgements that Schifftyroo F'ed up and came up with nothing?
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

This entire thing is ludicrous.  I think McConnell should have a vote to end the whole thing due to lack of evidence and gross negligence on the part of House Democommies.

Dealing with the Dims is just like dealing with other childlike minds. Nothing is ever their fault, and they whine and cry when they don't get their way.

McConnell should find some toys to give to them to play with to distract  him. Things with flashing lights that beep work best.

If he did that then Schitty Without a Brain wouldn't be able to claim that the Russians are going to attacks us on our soil and that if Trump wins it's because of his corruption.  Geez ... give the man a break!  /s

I would still like to see the Republicans call witnesses for my entertainment.  Why are they insisting on doing things their way in the Senate?  It wasn't like this when the fiasco was going on in the house.  Think of it this way..... they subpoena Bolton (yet again after dropping it previously) and then the republicans call the Bidens, the whistleblower, and Ivanovitch?  Now THAT would be 'must see tv'!   :2popcorn:

First, he'd lose that vote at this point.  Rand Paul has said there are only 45 GOP votes for dismissal right now - the others want to wait at least until the arguments are concluded.

Second...it'd be kind of dumb to end it right now.  At this point, the Democrats have had a chance to lay out much of their case, and have been monopolizing the debate because the prosecution goes first.  If we end it right now, that means the defense team -- Trump's people -- would never have gotten a chance to make their case public.  Whatever juicy bits they have will go unheard.

At this point, the best thing to do is let the Dems finish up firing whatever ammo they have left, then let Trump's team finally get a chance to respond in full, point fingers at the Biden corruption, etc..  Then, only after Trump's lawyers get to lay out their full case, do you have the vote to dismiss.

Oh they’ll cry louder and louder as they realize voters don’t give a crap about their theatrical production.
