I think McConnell should have a vote to end the whole thing due to lack of evidence and gross negligence on the part of House Democommies.
First, he'd lose that vote at this point. Rand Paul has said there are only 45 GOP votes for dismissal right now - the others want to wait at least until the arguments are concluded.
Second...it'd be kind of dumb to end it right now. At this point, the Democrats have had a chance to lay out much of their case, and have been monopolizing the debate because the prosecution goes first. If we end it right now, that means the defense team -- Trump's people -- would never have gotten a chance to make their case public. Whatever juicy bits they have will go unheard.
At this point, the best thing to do is let the Dems finish up firing whatever ammo they have left, then let Trump's team
finally get a chance to respond in full, point fingers at the Biden corruption, etc.. Then, only after Trump's lawyers get to lay out their full case, do you have the vote to dismiss.
