NBC Reporter Calls Annual Pro-Gun Event 'White Nationalist Rally'

01/20/2020 12:00 AM Source: AAN by: AAN Staff

Student activist, ahem, excuse me – NBC News reporter Ben Collins – deleted a tweet claiming that today's annual gun rights rally in Richmond, Virginia is a "white supremacist rally."

The Daily Caller's Shelby Talcott reports:

In a now-deleted tweet, NBC's Ben Collins urged reporters ahead of the 2nd Amendment rally to "verify information" before sending it out. Collins deleted and then clarified his tweet following backlash for referring to the event as a "white supremacist rally."

Conservative seem to complain and be shocked when events such as this gets the scorn of the media

What did they expect? Conservatives should expect that anything outside of the liberal, progressive media’s agenda is going to be treated this way
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.
