'Roofs blowing off houses'

Dean Foley, platoon chief for the St. John's Regional Fire Department, said crews required a snowplow escort to respond to each call it could handle. Snowblowers were also used in some cases.

"We're getting roofs blowing off houses, people trapped in their cars — an assortment of everything, I'll say," said Foley.

Thought it was a good time for a story like this. Yes, we have gotten it this bad in the USA before but not as much in the past several years.

About 20 years ago, there was an ice storm that really played havoc with the upper Northeast I believe,  shutting down power.

A cold weekend in much of the USA, then, there were stories of flooding in the South this past week, which were sad. I believe some loss of life.
