@XenaLee Unless you doubt gravity, there can be no question about the feet and legs turning dark after hanging, due to the blood pooling.
I don't know about the eye thing. I can only GUESS the difference is due to the time spent dying.
@sneakypete @Cyber Liberty@mystery-ak sneaky, You are correct - the legs would be dark purple if he died from hanging, unless they found his body within minutes of his dying.
Case in point:
I had a friend, his name was Bill. He had pain in his hips and I was going with him to the doctor in Houston that day. We lived in a country setting so it took an hour to get there. I was to meet him at the restaurant in our town. He did not come. I called his house and there was no answer. I went to his house, went to the back door as that door was usually open, not locked. I did not know the first door was also unlocked. With the front door unlocked that told me he died before he was going to lock the house at night and let the dog in.
As I was going around the house, the dog Bill owned was out (a Weimaraner who knew me as I had been there numerous times) and followed me to the backdoor.
I looked through the window of the door and saw Bill sitting where he would sit when he read books or newspaper. His head was down on the table and he was not moving. I opened the door and went in with the dog beside me. Bill still did not move. I walked toward him and then saw his face was dark purple. He had died, his head was down and the blood in his head had drained into his face. The dog did not go near him, stayed by my side.
Epstein's legs would be purple from blood draining into them, just like Bill's face was purple. Bill's lower legs were purple, also.
Bill had been among other things, a sheriff's deputy when he was younger. He stayed at our sheriff's office a lot. I called 911 and told the woman who answered that Bill was dead. She said, "Oh, no!, are you sure?" I told her his face was purple and he was dead.
I went outside and waited for sheriff whom I knew; dog stayed with me outside. He got there with some other officers and I went in house with them. Bill had a lot of weapons so sheriff put those in the trunk of my car so someone would not break in and get them. Then, I called one of Bill's sons whom I knew, and told him what happened. That was a terrible thing to call his son and tell him his father had died. One of the officers took the dog with him.
Blood that can't circulate through the body, will pool at the lowest place. Epstein did not hang himself, legs were not dark purple. Think about where the body was when he died, as the blood would pool to the lowest place. If his body was on one side, the blood would drain into that side. If he was on his back, the blood would pool to his back. If he was face down, the purple blood would be in his face and down the front of his body.
