Chechen Leader 'Temporarily Incapacitated,' Puts PM In Charge

The leader of Russia's North Caucasus region of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has temporarily left office due to what he called his "temporary incapacitation."

Kadyrov's order dated January 13 was placed on the Chechen government's website.

"I entrust the chairman of the government of the Chechen Republic, Muslim Magomedovich Khuchiyev with carrying out the duties of the head of the Chechen Republic as of January 13, 2020 for the period of my temporary incapacitation," the document says, without giving any other details.

Kadyrov's picture at link. Very well known to those who may keep up with events over there.

For Russia-followers, this is interesting too and seems to coincide with Putin's shakeup of his cabinet over there, though, this is for the province of Chechnya.

China's seen as the bigger threat than Russia and some say, with China being the way we are, we should be careful in getting into these smaller wars that take so much in resources. Not that China is say, a military threat as far as that goes but they do seem to be interested in conquest, especially, if they can pull it off with financial influence.
