A driver has narrowly escaped an SUV blockade set up by a Mexican cartel on the US border.

The footage shows the motorist arriving at an intersection in Nuevo Laredo, in the Mexican border state of Tamaulipas, only to find it blocked with SUVs.

No country for Americans.

It's worse in this area than maybe Tijuana but there's not much solace to take from that. Bad is bad, dangerous is dangerous. There have been problems almost throughout the whole border.  Just maybe different kinds of problems.
