(Gateway Pundit) – It’s always entertaining to see diametrically opposing leftist movements collide with one another. Now we have the environmental groups squaring off against the homeless advocacy groups, as California’s homeless crisis is leading to mass contamination of the rivers and streams. Rather than going through sewage treatment, human waste from the homeless is ending up directly in the water ways.

California Health Line reports:

    “We should all work together to clean up these hazardous waste and homeless sites before the whole city rots away,” Trump tweeted about San Francisco on Oct. 26. “Very bad and dangerous conditions, also severely impacting the Pacific Ocean and water supply.”

The problem is easily resolved.  All Gov. LGBTQ has to do is blame the problem on Trump and call for his impeachment.  Then commit another 2 billion to climate research.  There it is, problem solved.

I am all in favor of helping the homeless, but when liberal policies have basically turned an entire state into a massive homeless camp, it is going too far.

There is a reason why there are cell phone apps showing were homeless people in California are going to the bathroom. It’s because they are going to end up making people sick.

Shoot, you wanna know why so many people got diseases in days gone by? It is because people were going to the bathroom in the same water where they drank and cooked from.

That's where the bacteria are getting in, and unless that isn't showing up at the beaches, in the marinas, in fish and shellfish caught near and off shore, it can be a problem.
People will be exposed to pathogens they are unaware may be in the water. Sewage (via the greywater sewers) will be treated, but what goes down storm drains (hosed off the sidewalk and streets) may not be.

Even in North Dakota we require people to pick up after their dogs, why not have the homeless pick up after themselves?

Obviously.... it's not the "homeless" part that's at issue.   It's the drug addiction part.   There are homeless vets and other folks that had bad luck in life or made bad financial decisons that do not defecate on public streets.   Unless or until the idiot left finally decides to deal with the drug addiction problem, this crap (literally) will continue.

Storm drain water is not treated. In San Jose, the curb above storm drains specifically states that the water goes into the (SF) bay. So dog crap, raccoon crap (they seem to live in the storm drains for part of the year), leaked motor oil or engine coolant, etc. etc. etc. all goes untreated into the bay. The same is true of the bum crap, dog crap, raccoon crap, cat ... turtle ... along rivers and creeks.
